@SnazzyLabs They mentioned you could use it plugged in”all day”, meaning that if you can find a USB-C battery with the right power output you could do what you’re insinuating isn’t possible.

I can imagine someone makes a backpack with a big battery for Vision Pro. That would be pretty cool

@TailosiveTech The Pro World was literally revolting. Many Pros thought Apple Abandoned them. If they waited till Apple Silicon came they would have lost many of the highest end users to windows.

Look at the way this was announced, Apple was forced to release this to keep Pro users happy

@TailosiveTech We tend to look at Apple’s prices without thinking about their RND costs. The Mac Pro was a brand new low volume line for Apple. Factoring in RND they might not have broken even given how few the likely sold.

Apple made so many one off hardware devices (Afterburner Card) RND $$

The Mac Pro wasn’t a failure, it showed that potential. The unfortunate thing about all this was that its timing was right before Apple Silicon. That’s why in retrospect it looks odd

When Apple announced that a new Mac Pro was in the works they announced it months ahead of WWDC. They called all these reporters to have a meeting with Craig and Schiller. The whole point was to show the world that they care about Pros.

@TailosiveTech Man I totally disagree. People think now the Mac is having its golden age. Then people thought Apple would abandon the Mac for iPads.

The Mac Pro was to show people Apple was still invested in the Mac and boy did they show that with that and the M-Series Transition
