Yesterday , Hon. Minister @CNkulikiyinka hosted Mrs @NgabireGloria Country Director @GiveDirectly, for a courtesy visit.
They discussed GiveDirectly's impact on job creation and livelihoods, and how its programs align with Rwanda's National Strategy for Transformation NST2.
The exchange was very productive, with both sides exploring deeper collaboration to create synergies and expand employment opportunities for Rwandans.

Yesterday, Hon. Minister @CNkulikiyinka participated in the High Level National Consultation Meeting on "Building Strong Foundations: Social Protection that Works," organized under the ILO Flagship Program on Building Social Protection Floors for All.
The meeting convened representatives from government institutions, development partners, employers' organizations, workers' representatives, civil society, and the private sector to discuss strengthening Rwanda's social protection system as a foundation for inclusive growth, decent work, and sustainable national development.
Discussions focused on ongoing pension reforms, labor formalization, expansion of social insurance, and strategies to improve protection for vulnerable groups, particularly women, youth, and workers in the informal sector.
Participants emphasized the need to strengthen institutional coordination, leverage digital systems and data interoperability, and enhance collaboration among stakeholders to improve access, efficiency, and responsiveness in social protection service delivery.
The dialogue also highlighted the role of social protection in reducing vulnerability, promoting productivity, supporting economic resilience, and advancing Rwanda's long term development priorities under our National Strategy for Transformation NST2.

This afternoon, @ClementKabiligi, Permanent Secretary at MIFOTRA,received Mr. Ashley James Carl, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Rwanda, for a courtesy visit and discussions on strengthening the longstanding partnership between MIFOTRA and IOM in advancing safe, orderly, and dignified labour migration.
The meeting highlighted IOM's continued technical support to Rwanda in key areas including labour migration governance, the Occupations on Demand List (ODL), labour market frameworks, worker protection, skills mobility, and support to returning migrants. The discussions also reaffirmed the shared commitment to deepening collaboration under the National Labour Mobility Implementation Framework as well as continued bilateral engagements aimed at strengthening safe migration systems.
The Permanent Secretary further commended Mr. Ashley James Carl for his contribution to strengthening the partnership between Rwanda and IOM during his tenure in Rwanda, and wished him his continued success in his new assignment in Syria.
