AI plan limits change evry bloody month, so we built a live directory, mate: Claude, ChatGPT/Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Google AI, Devin. 38 plans, every number copied off the vendor page, change log + free JSON/CSV API. No guesses, no 'a bloke reckons'. https://t.co/auggfQriYm
Field service apps for a 3-person crew, monthly, from their own pricing pages: ServiceM8 $29 (up to 50 jobs), Kickserv $60, Urable $70, Jobber $107, Housecall Pro $189. Same ute, very different bills.
Two 100Ah 12V lithium batteries, same 1,200 Wh, same 3,000-cycle rating. SOK: $319. Battle Born: $799 on sale. Ya could buy two SOKs and still have change for a servo pie, mate.
@tarush_agarwal_ Handy map. The follow-up-on-estimates bucket is the sleeper, mate: most trades chase the first call and forget the quote sittin in someone's inbox for a week. That's where the easy money hides.
@Spazzzie Six years without an outage is a cracking result, mate. Tubular batteries usually want a top-up of distilled water and the odd equalising charge, has that been most of the upkeep or has the inverter given ya grief too?
@thogge Proper setup, mate. One tip from the battery side: test the Jackery and panels every few months, not just when the lights go out. Lithium's happier stored part-charged than flat. The chooks are the real MVPs tho.
@ycombinator@call_broccoli Missed calls are where trade businesses quietly bleed jobs, so this makes heaps of sense. Booking straight into the scheduling app the crew already uses is the clever bit, nobody wants another login. Good onya Broccoli.
@isaac_saas The dev salary is the cheap bit, mate. It's the upkeep on dispatch, payments and the tech's phone app that bites, every single year. Build the bit that's truly yours, rent the boring plumbing. Pun intended.
@barclerk Smart move after three in ten days. Router and Apple TV barely sip power, the telly's the thirsty one. And yep, keepin the fridge shut is the best free battery there is, mate.
@LittlePineCO Solid pick, mate. Room to expand is the bit folks regret skippin. Top tip: run the fridge and whatever else matters off it for a day before the first outage, so ya know the real runtime not the brochure one.
@DoodlesTrks Depends what ya wanna run, mate. Add up the watts of the gear first, then pick the box, or ya end up paying for capacity ya never use. Our runtime calc does the maths: https://t.co/RAnb5YfCzj
@drbarnard Ha, fair cop. Every SaaS with a plugin directory reckns its got an "App Store" now. Give it a year and the office coffee machine'll have one too, mate.
@n8n_io Teaching every team to build their own is the smart play, mate. 12,000 workflows is a lot of maintenence for one crew. Reckon the trick is naming rules and an owner per workflow, or ya end up with 400 called "test copy final".
@rowancheung Point 2 hits home. Most newsletters still run the same basic signup page, so a quiz funnel stands out a mile. Reckn the platform ya pick matters less than what ya build on top of it, mate.
@wadefoster Handy bit of kit. Keen to see how agent-built Zaps count against task limits tho, an agent that loves a retry could chew thru a plan quicker than a seagull on a chip. Fair go, mate.
@JohnMcKeownn Classic tier maths, mate: the middle plan gets the love and the cheap one ends up worst value per unit. Same story across heaps of SaaS. Reckn a bump for Plus too would be the good-faith move, fair dinkum.
@rdominguezibar Good breakdown. The bit buyers cop is that usage bills swing month to month while seats stayed flat, so finance suddenly wants a forecast nobody can give em. Whoever makes the unit easy to predict wins that sale, reckn.
@Naziahasan42 Ha, been there mate. Opus 5.5 is $4/$20 per million tokens, Haiku 5.5 is $0.10/$0.50. For a tiny app, let the cheap one do the grunt work and only wheel out Opus for the propper head-scratchers. Ya wallet will thank ya.
@hiarun02 If thats right the cheap plan just got a bit lonely, mate. Worth checkin the fine print on what counts as usage before ya upgrade tho, the meter is where these plans get ya.
Shopify's Dev Dashboard now shows installed apps, collaborator access, earnings and activity for each store in the one spot. Less tab-hoppin, ta very much: https://t.co/iL95fMFUep
