Horrifying to watch a #HongKong government refuse worker throwing a bag full of rubbish directly into the harbour. Shocking! Where is the respect for our marine #environment? We need proactive behaviour & education from our government to combat the polluting of our coastal areas.

For years, climate scientists have been developing a science of attribution—a way to ascribe, with some level of certainty, that severe weather events are tied to human-caused climate change. They've succeeded—and now they can sue those responsible https://t.co/Sd07fGYDKf

As a scientist, what concerns me the most is what this continued rise actually means: that we are continuing full speed ahead with an unprecedented experiment with our planet, the only home we have. https://t.co/DbBrNOCVIo

First phase of Hong Kong's #ivory ban - ban on import and re-export of ivory and elephant hunting trophies - comes into force next week.

Maximum penalties for smuggling and illegal trade in endangered species will also increase from May 1st.

Local ivory trade phased out by 2021

A shame that @shakeshack, @dhmeyer & @randygarutti aren't abiding by their commitments on #zerowaste, #recycling, #animalwelfare, #sustainability, etc. here in #HongKong. Does our environment not matter as much as that of the #USA? @MerrinPearse @OceanRecov @sian_wj @alexhofford https://t.co/cl3W8cWR6I

[👁𝕭𝖎𝖌 𝕭𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗👁 @the_big_bother]

Not as "good'n'green" as they pretend. Sad to see that @shakeshack doesn't have #recycling for patrons' #waste. Do @dhmeyer & @randygarutti think they can act with impunity, just because they're not in the #USA? Is this how you "Stand For Something Good®"? #zerowaste #greenwash

.@KarlLagerfeld & @CHANEL decided that their one-day #fashion show was worth hacking down trees that have stood in #Paris for centuries, to make room for benches. How do you justify this? And you have the gall to promote this travesty to my @Twitter account? #Shame https://t.co/pj1J6NhtoT

Today, #lions are extinct in 26 #African countries and have vanished from over 90% of their historic range. Only about 20,000 lions remain.

現今獅子在26個非洲國家已經滅絕，他們失去了90%的原居範圍。只有大約二萬隻野生獅子依然存在。

Yet wildlife crime in Hong Kong is not treated as ORGANIZED or SERIOUS. We're having trouble convincing HK Govt that 'Protection of Endangered Species of Animals & Plants Ordinance' should be listed on Schedule of 'Organized & Serious Crimes Ordinance'.

Always shocking to see #ivory being sold openly in #HongKong... Even worse to see this bloody trade being facilitated by @Visa, @Citibank, @UnionPay_Intl, @AmericanExpress & @DinersClub. Where does this fit in with your #ESG & #GlobalGoals pledges?
