On Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, and to honor the sacrifice that makes our freedom possible.
We also remember the many members of the Knights of Columbus who have served with courage and faith, answering the call to defend both God and country. Their legacy lives on in those who continue to serve, protect, and lead with integrity.
We pray for the souls of the fallen, for the comfort of their families, and for peace in our world. May their courage and selfless love never be forgotten.
🇺🇸🇵🇰✝️ A Pakistani Christian family was freed from 130 years of slavery by an American man.
A U.S. citizen named Aaron Hutchings paid off the ancestral debt of a Pakistani Christian family, freeing them from nearly 130 years of generational bonded labor at a brick kiln factory.
Christians and Hindus are highly overrepresented in Pakistan's brick kiln workforce, many of whom are manipulated into debt bondage exploitation and slavery.
In regions like Punjab, Christian families often face severe social and economic marginalization.
This lack of resources makes them prime targets for exploitative peshki (advance loan) systems that lead to generational slavery.
The intervention was carried out via Project Jubilee. Organizations operating under this banner focus heavily on freeing enslaved Christian and minority families in South Asia, helping them transition into safe housing and formal education.
Mother Teresa left a tremendous legacy of compassion and service. I was honored to visit the Missionaries of Charity today to pay homage to her legacy and to see the living example of the Catholic faith in action.
Quando os islâmicos estavam dominando o mundo e perseguindo os cristãos, não foram os protestantes que defenderam o cristianismo, que guardaram as relíquias, as tradições, e heranças da fé; foram os católicos, cruzados, templários, monges e padres.
Another chapter to start. More than 7 million Catholics live in Pakistan and 7 Dioceses are actively playing their role in education, Peace , Justice #CatholicsinPakistan last time JP 2 was officially greeted by President Zia (Army General) in 1981.
"As a devout Christian, I would say it’s one of the most anti-Christian things and anti-American things that you could do," says @VP on religious violence.
"One of the fundamental American rights that I think came from our Christian heritage as a civilization is the idea that we respect people’s religious freedom, in part, because we respect them as human beings, but also, because we respect their right to find their own pathway to God. You can’t force anybody to a pathway to God. They have to, through their own free will, find God themselves."
Marco Rubio draws a direct line between Christianity and the founding of America during a speech at the “Rededicate 250” prayer event in Washington, D.C.
Before the Christian West, Rubio says, most civilizations viewed history as an endless cycle “only to end up back where it began.”
“But our faith calls us outwards into the limitless darkness of the unknown,” he says. "It tells us to go forth and preach the gospel to the world as a witness unto all nations unto the ends of the Earth."
"From that command, came America."
Since 2019, ADF International has supported a total of 52 cases in Pakistan — including 14 Christian minor girls freed from the horrors of sexual slavery and forced conversion.
These girls were rescued from forced and sham marriages, where they endured physical, sexual and emotional abuse and were coerced into converting to Islam and renouncing their Christian faith.
