Councillor for Fosse Stoney Cove
Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at @BlabyDC
Promoted by, and on behalf of, Luke Cousin at Unit 8, Westleigh Business
Caring isn’t just my family's story, it is the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love.
Sharing our story hasn't been easy, but it's important. It's time to bring carers' experiences into the light.
Two great Lib Dem by-election WINS last night Leicestershire and Blaby. 🔶🗳️
Huge congratulations to Cllrs Sue Jordan and Ande Savage and their campaign teams for a fantastic result!
Today marks 20 years since the repeal of Section 28. Moving the clause to repeal Section 28 remains one of my proudest moments in politics.
We still have a way to go to end the discrimination faced by the LGBT+ community and Liberal Democrats will keep fighting.
Today, @NeilWri170461 and I met with the Police and Crime Commissioner, Rupert Matthews, to discuss the priorities for #FosseStoneyCove. We talked of the need for ongoing preventative action to keep our villages safe, and the need for improved communication. A positive meeting!
Poor wording by Sunak (although, probably what he truly thinks). VOTING IS A RIGHT for those who are eligible. The eligibility criteria are set in law. Laws CAN be changed. Sunak is comfortable with the current laws. The #LibDems aren't.
Sunak: “I think that voting is a privilege.”
If you are an adult British citizen, it’s not a privilege. It’s your right. How dare they suggest otherwise.

It sickens me that so many people are reliant on food banks, especially hard-working families and individuals who have been left behind by greedy corporations and a cruel government. People ask: "but where is your policy?" Here it is, and I promise you it will be costed!
People are sick and tired of empty words.
It’s high time Rishi Sunak rolls up his sleeves and backs the Lib Dem plan to bring food prices under control.

Perception is very important. With Tories whipping their local councils like Ben Hur in the chariot race and Labour councils being run from their central party, its no wonder local people want local @LibDems councillors! Catch #centrallobby on @itvnews with @Alison1mackITV
I had an interesting time recording Central Lobby this morning. Lots of good debating energy and I was delighted to talk about recent @LibDems electoral success here in South Leicestershire.
Tune in to @ITVCentral after the 10.00 news tonight to catch it all.
This is a very honest and open article. Shines a light on Ed Davey, the man, rather than Ed Davey, the politician. Proud to have him as our leader. @EdwardJDavey@LibDems@SLeics_LibDem
In today's @Guardian, @EdwardJDavey talks to @zoesqwilliams about getting rid of the Tories, the tragedies that blighted his childhood and how caring for his disabled son has shaped his politics.

@LeicsCountyHall Let's make sure the wildflower spots are clearly defined to the ground maintenance crews to prevent the cutting of wildflower verges. Completely ignored them here in Stoney Stanton and kept getting cut.
To everyone who elected me for @BlabyDC Fosse Stoney Cove ward, Thank You!
Thank you to the team at @SLeics_LibDem, @ALDC, and to @47_larkin, my running mate.
As I've said the whole way through this, I'm here to listen and represent. Lets get to work! #Libdems#FosseStoneyCove
This has been an historic victory for the Liberal Democrats with our best result in decades.
Voters have sent a political shockwave to dozens of Conservative MPs right across the blue wall.
