💔Tragic: swifts are finding their chicks dumped in skips and their nests blocked up by building work. 🚨We need an emergency system that forces police & councils to act IMMEDIATELY when nests are threatened. Sign the petition now 👇 https://t.co/ynleoVxKgV via @38degrees
A historic video – November 22, 1994:
The U.S. President thanks Ukraine for giving up its nuclear weapons. In return, the U.S. promises to stand by Ukraine’s side to safeguard its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity well into the future.
That future has arrived—yet today, Trump and his circle act as if none of this ever happened.

My message to my more than 46,000 followers. Please read this tweet.
My American friends. The elections are fast approaching. The whole world is watching you closely. Many of us are very worried about what might happen. We all know that Trump won’t let go of power. Personally, I’m afraid of another January 6 but even worse.
Even though it may seem scary, you'll get through this.
I hope you’ll go out and vote. Everyone, vote and tell this administration: “NO TO A SECOND CHANCE.”
I’ll be following the election from start to finish. It will be very late in France, so I plan to stay up all night.
I was born in the late ’90s and grew up in the 2000s and 2010s. I miss that America full of hope, the one that elected an African American president in 2008, the one that stood by its allies, the one that had honor, terribly, and rest assured, hundreds of millions of people around the world miss it too.
Come to your senses, take back the reins, and say, “Fuck you, Trump,” this November.
Happy Saturday everyone 🎃🍂🦉
Can you take 2 mins to respond to Ofwat's consultation to demand they BLOCK the water bill hike. If water companies can't survive without hiking our bills, let them go bust and bring them into public ownership. Deadline: midnight Thurs 24th Sept @we_ownit https://t.co/QDn7r3XcLU

Trees 🌳 have been running the most successful carbon capture program on Planet Earth for 350 million years. No corporate pitch deck. No taxpayer funded gigantic subsidy.
They run naturally on sunlight and rain. They look beautiful. They last for generations. They manufacture oxygen as a side hustle. They cool cities, reduce flooding, house wildlife, hold soil together and still somehow find time to capture carbon.
Yet, governments now spent £billions of our tax money on carbon capture machines. It costs a fortune. It needs a power plant. It often uses energy that came from burning the same stuff it’s supposed to clean up. It captures a rounding error of what a decent forest already does. And it still needs a press release so investors and governments feel like they’re saving the planet.
Nature has already built a machine that works. We keep cutting it down, paving it over, then acting shocked that the expensive metal replica isn’t quite as good.
Plant more of the original carbon capture machines. 🌳
Stop funding the unnatural cosplay machine version of carbon capture.
Well, well, well.
