Deputy General said it was “possible” Ryan Tubridy knew what was coming before he stepped down from the Late Late Show.
While staff were taking cuts and people were being let go six RTÉ clients or staff had a jolly boys day out at the Tokyo Rugby World Cup, which cost RTÉ €111,000.
Taoiseach has said Ryan Tubridy, Noel Kelly and Dee Forbes need to come before the Oireachtas committee.
The invoices for extra payments were marked as Covid Consultancy and nobody questioned it.
You actually couldn’t make all of this stuff up.
@MissEllieN 1st days at secondary school are filled with insecure & self conscious 12-13 yr olds. There aren’t that many of them confident enough to strike up conversations with strangers. Hard to cope with as a parent so here’s hoping he settles in and makes friends soon
Son of two Irish #SupremeCourt judges, grandson of two more. Tells you everything about #FineGaels political, poisonous hold on our two-tier justice system -and our courts:
'Una Mullally: @FineGael's byelection candidate? You couldn't make him up https://t.co/T5hRlaFOAa
“Hold on, your telling me we were at it before @sinnfeinireland but @LeoVaradkar let me go on @NewstalkFM to make a complete clown of myself laying into them?”
@GeogheganCllr Imagine starting your election campaign with a woman who (willfully) stood idly by as a smear campaign against Sgt McCabe was reaching it's pinnacle.
And a dude who's currently under Gardai investigation for insider trading.
Best of luck James 🤞
Michael Noonan invited them in, Simon Coveney set the table, Paschal Donohoe served the appetisers and Eoghan Murphy poured the drinks.
Yet Leo Varadkar wants you to believe that FG had no idea that they’d eat so much.
Okay.
@gardainfo Phoenix Park management confirmed what we already knew-#leovaradkar broke more than COVID restrictions when he partied in the park. Have An Garda Siochána done their job regarding this incident? Issued summons, fines, anything to @LeoVaradkar and his friends?
@i_am_jessica_b @MaggieNoone I didn’t know they were single mothers until I read your tweet. Why are you highlighting that? It doesn’t matter if they are mothers, single mothers or not mothers. Their actions from their return from Dubai is the issue
@i_am_jessica_b@unspeakable28 Those teachers should be named too because they are as culpable as the staff in the beacon that gave them the vaccines. Those two ladies brought attention to themselves by their own actions. Addresses shouldn’t be published though
@unspeakable28 They are two young woman who could afford to travel to Dubai for cosmetic surgery during a time when many others are struggling financially & emotionally. As with the nurse who cried about her hotel, these young woman knew the quarantine restrictions. No sympathy for any of them
@wibilywobly@paddycosgrave @CapersColly @rtenews@daracalleary I dislike Martin as much as the rest of them, but I can’t see the big deal here. Varadkar is being investigated and hasn’t resigned. The ceo of the beacon hasn’t resigned. There are so many bigger things going on right now and this non story is a distraction
@curlymo_99@jimfitzpatrick@angiebeeb Of course she had a choice, but it was hardly a big deal to have her mask off for a few mins for a photo in what looked like a big space. Of all the things going on at the minute, why are people making an issue of this? The ‘story’ is prob doing her more harm than event itself
@wibilywobly@paddycosgrave @CapersColly @rtenews@daracalleary A 45 minute event during level 3 restrictions with 12 people, a presentation and a few photos taken is nowhere near the same as a sit down dinner and drinks with 82 people when a max of 6 were allowed at the time
