During my announcement speech more than a year ago, I said that I have so many skeletons in the closet that if they could vote, I would be king of the world. I knew much would be made of my past. I have been around politics. I know of its hazards. I also knew that my vision and policies would inspire resistance in the establishment.

As you perhaps know, I am used to such resistance -- used to the bile and malign distortions that accompany speaking out on high-stakes issues. And I know that the establishment’s treatment of me -- while challenging -- makes perfect sense.

The dark and elaborately refined arts of partisan politics deployed to end my campaign (the documented censorship and shadowbanning; the out-in-the-open, anti-democratic, and well-funded attempts to keep me off ballots through expensive, complex, time-consuming legal challenges; the thwarting of debate access; the withholding of secret service protection; the paid staged protests; the sundry campaigns of defamation and scandalmongering) are the logical reactions of a threatened -- and very unwell -- status quo.

And underneath all of this -- underneath much of this election cycle, underneath much of this moment in our nation’s politics -- is a sort of destitution. A destitution of heart. It’s no small wonder so many people have withdrawn from civic life and democracy altogether.

A broken bond needs to be reestablished in our country. We need more soul-searching and less partisan warfare. Our work as Americans, whether we like it or not, transcends all labels and all parties. It seems we will recognize this reality and act accordingly; or be broken into it. History is not made occasionally on great stages by the privileged few but made daily in the depths of each human soul.

Ours is a beautiful nation, still. According to the Internet, our country (and our world) founders in chaos. But in post offices, parks, grocery stores our beauty still heartens and shines. We all see it every day.

It is in the name of that beauty that I work.

It is in the name of that beauty that I run to be your next president.

The true power of America is not its comfort, wealth, or military might, but its ideals of liberty, democracy, and
generosity.

This campaign is about honoring and restoring those ideals -- regardless of the defamation, evasion, and trickery. We knew those were coming.

We will not be deterred on this necessary journey.

FINRA and the SEC have stood idle as investors were raked over the coals with fraud in the #mmtlp scandal where trading was permanently suspended 2 days sooner than promised by FINRA.

#Gamestop and #AMC investors along w those from 13 other stocks had their ability to buy halted for several days as market makers and crypto exchanges created "tokenized shares" to create fake "short sale locates" for naked short positions, this is beyond illegal but allowed to happen.

#BTC ETF investors are down over 22% in the last week from the rug pull enabled by the SEC and Blackrock as the SEC twitter account and password were "compromised", in which the perpetrator published a saved draft about the BTC ETF approval 2 days before it occurred.

#BBBYQ and #MMAT are suing market makers and lenders for toxic predatory loans.

Pharma company w new cures for cancers #NWBO has sued market makers for spoofing, illegally placing orders to sell at lower prices than the best bid, and canceling orders prior to execution which causes artificial reductions in stock price.

The list goes on and on, stock market and crypto investors are getting fleeced daily.

Citadel then outbids the #NYSE to buy retail orders from brokerages and routes millions of shares through darkpools as 1 single order, off exchange.

This hides any real price increases as it doesn't affect the national best bid and offers in the way it should, only a fraction of the impact.

The #SEC is suing and former Louisiana Attorney General is investigating Virtu Financial market maker for market manipulation for using #PFOF to buy retail orders and then sharing the customers' orders with their Virtu hedge fund to be traded against or front-run for over 16 months straight!

This causes 100s of billions of dollars in losses for retail.

My fingers hurt from typing on my phone...

My parents were married for 55 years. One morning, my mom was going downstairs to make dad breakfast, she had a heart attack and fell. My father picked her up as best he could and almost dragged her into the truck. At full speed, without respecting traffic lights, he drove her to the hospital.

When he arrived, unfortunately she was no longer with us.

During the funeral, my father did not speak; his gaze was lost. He hardly cried.

That night, his children joined him. In an atmosphere of pain and nostalgia, we remembered beautiful anecdotes and he asked my brother, a theologian, to tell him where Mom would be at that moment. My brother began to talk about life after death and guesses as to how and where she would be.

My father listened carefully. Suddenly he asked us to take him to the cemetery.

"Dad!" we replied, "it's 11 at night, we can't go to the cemetery right now!"

He raised his voice, and with a glazed look he said: "Don't argue with me, please don't argue with the man who just lost his wife of 55 years."

There was a moment of respectful silence, we didn't argue anymore. We went to the cemetery. With a flashlight we reached her grave.

My father sat down, prayed, and told his children: "It was 55 years... you know? No one can really talk about true love if haven't done life with a person."

He paused and wiped his face.

"She and I, we were together in the good and in the bad." he continued. "When I changed jobs, we packed up when we sold the house and moved. We shared the joy of seeing our children become parents, together we mourned the departure of loved ones, we prayed together in the waiting room of some hospitals, we supported each other in pain, we hugged one another each day, and we forgave mistakes."

And then he paused and added, "Children, that's all gone and I'm happy tonight. Do you know why I'm happy? Because she left before me. She didn't have to go through the agony and pain of burying me, of being left alone after my departure. I will be the one to go through that, and I thank God for that. I love her so much that I wouldn't have liked her to suffer..."

When my father finished speaking, my brothers and I had tears streaming down our faces. We hugged him and he comforted us, "It's okay. We can go home. It's been a good day."

That night I understood what true love is. It is more than just romanticism and sex, it's two people who stand beside one another, who are committed to one another ... through all the good and bad that life throws at you.
