Just heard my 101 y/o ex Geordie mum has died. Peacefully this morning with people around her. Typically she rode out the world wars, a Pandemic and Phil-the-Greek. Typical timing :/
Whoever gets her spirit next will be feisty & earn respect. “Love” would be a bonus.

U is for Union Workhouse
This is Worcester's Workhouse, Tallow Hill, on an 1901 OS map. We have various records for the Poor Law Unions. Unfortunately details of those admitted, which is often what people want for family history, haven't always survived

Sculpture sitting on a base plate without damaging below ground archaeology. If you're going to site an artwork on a Scheduled monument then that's the sustainable way to do it!
The Offa's Dyke Association is both saddened and angry with this damage to the Dyke, our heritage. We will assist in any way that we can to help find a long term solution to the problem.
