I’m fired up to be back leading the @TPSBasketball program. This was a family decision & WE are all in.

Connection. Character. Toughness.
Process > Outcomes.
We will continue to build a program our community will be proud of.
Underrated life advice: Become easier to impress. Be amazed by a beautiful sunrise. A great conversation. A good cup of coffee. A long walk. A laugh with friends. The people who find joy in small things end up finding joy in a lot more things.
You’ve got to start where you are. Not where you want to be. Not where you think you should be. Not where other people think you should be. But where you are. So many people mess this up. You’re never going to get where you want to go if you don’t start from where you are.
Consistency in character leads to influence.
Consistency in effort leads to results.
If you want to get better, keep showing up.
If you want things to get better, keep showing up.
Consistency is the key.
CARING is cool
Caring about your work ethic & effort
Caring about your conditioning
Caring about your nutrition
Caring about your shooting percentages
Caring about practices & workouts
Caring about every game (big or small)
Don’t let people make you believe caring is “too much”
A friend of mine used to say: “Show up on time, with a good attitude, and do what you said you’d do. That’s it. That’s 90% of winning in life." The older I get, the more I realize just how right he was.
“It’s been pretty fun when you see a group of guys who are willing to give themselves to the team and the process, regardless of what that means for themselves.”
Winning starts when everyone buys into the process, even when the process doesn’t revolve around them.
After a weekend at EYBL, some thoughts on AAU and how to make your recruitment 🚀:
DO:
✅ Communicate on Defense early & loud.
✅ Be You! Do the things you’re already good at really well.
✅ Winning Matters - Be a winner
DONT:
❌ Bad Body language
KEEP THE GAME SIMPLE!
Major life hack: Quiet progress. Learn to work without validation. No announcement. No hype. No applause. Build when nobody’s watching. Write when nobody’s reading. Train when nobody’s cheering. It doesn’t take talent. Just courage. Quiet progress creates loud results.
To all players: Whether it’s a live period or non-live period:
1. Have FUN & ENJOY the moment
2. Play HARD & play FREE
3. Be UNSELFISH
4. COMPETE DEFENSIVELY
5. Impact WINNING
