“First you form your habits and then your habits form you. Life’s all about habits, choices and decisions. When you’ve got the right habits you tend to make better choices and decisions,” Curt Cignetti
Consistent habits turn high performance standards into character.

The weight room is the most influential room in a school.
It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom.
A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.
"Practicing hard is a choice. Watching extra film is a choice. Lifting weights, being coachable, and going to class are a choice. Your choices here are going to force me to either play you, or sit you on the bench. You’ll get exactly what you want." (Pat Summitt)
A transfer might look good from the outside, but if you leave a transformational coach/culture for a transactional coach/culture, you just might regret it. Winning or not, a transactional coach/culture won’t ever care about you or your development & that’s a tough lesson learned!
🐎 Are You a Cowboy or a Shepherd? 🐑
Love People More Than Position
There’s a big difference between a cowboy and a shepherd…
▪️ Cowboys count the heads of cattle.
Shepherds know the names of their sheep.
▪️ Cowboys push from behind where the herd doesn’t want to go.
Shepherds go first, call by name, and the sheep follow.
▪️ Cowboys fatten cattle to increase profit.
Shepherds feed sheep to increase life.
▪️ Cowboys love being cowboys.
Shepherds love the sheep.
One is about control.
The other is about care.
Psalm 23 doesn’t say:
The Lord is my cowboy…
It says:
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
Cowboys drive.
Shepherds lead.
Cowboys demand.
Shepherds defend.
Cowboys push from the back.
Shepherds walk right beside you —
even in the valley of the shadow of death.
Jesus doesn’t crack a whip.
He calls you by name.
👉 Leadership isn’t about position — it’s about people.
👉 Influence isn’t about authority — it’s about presence.
Love your people more than your title.
Lead like a Shepherd.
Never Stop Getting Better 🐑💪

Friday Night Thoughts
Building strength is a comprehensive process. It's not solely about lifting weights or increasing the number of reps. It's about consistently pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone and challenging your perceived limits.
Remember, 'It's not the load that breaks you down; it's the way you carry it.'
This means that the way we approach our challenges and obstacles can make a significant difference in our performance and results.
With every workout session, with every weight you lift, remember to keep pushing. Strive for progress, not perfection. Each day is an opportunity to improve, to be better than you were yesterday.
Strength training is a journey, not a destination. The rewards are not just physical but also mental. You become not just physically stronger but also mentally resilient.
So, keep pushing, keep striving, and continue to get better each day! You are stronger than you think!
Let's Get after it!!

LUCK IS SHORT-TERM—CONSISTENCY IS WHAT REALLY WINS
"CONSISTENCY IS WHAT SEPARATES THOSE WHO SUCCEED FROM THOSE WHO DON’T."
People may argue about this, especially when there’s short-term luck involved. But short-term luck and long-term success are two completely different things.
The key difference is consistency.
It’s that daily commitment to showing up, doing the work, and improving little by little. And it’s okay to remind yourself of this daily. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen with consistency.
Make winning your habit, not your goal.
Champions aren’t obsessed with the trophy, but with the habits that make winning inevitable.
Excellence is a practice, not a prize.
