Salvador Perez - Kansas City Royals.
Practicing sprinter style secondary transfers/footwork. Big frame, sits with chest lower to the left knee. Most catchers prefer right knee down in throwing situations.
#catching#catchers
Using the legs to center the ball. Same principle(s) as mitt-shaping, this can calm the heavy hand load. Understand your framework, extend your weight into your R or L toe depending on which side of the dish you’re on.

If someone tries to put u on a "Throwing Program" that IMPOSES a Pre-Determined:
1) Time limit
2) Distance limit
3) Volume limit
4) Arc limit
BEWARE.
This is how your arm gets "PROGRAMMED", rather than LIBERATED.

From his traditional stance Realmuto,as he is setting up late(after the pitcher starts his delivery) jumps to a sideways position gain alignment for his throw. He has a fairly significant drop step as he swings away from the LHH. Having one of baseball’s best arms doesn’t hurt.
Realmuto comes out of a kickstand position(LKD) to throw a runner out. This takes a significant amount of mobility & strength. This is somewhat of a hybrid pattern between throwing off his knees & driving off his right foot. Shows you how many options there are to get this done.
