January 1 needn’t be “just another day”. Our brain can segment time in many ways. Only some are constrained by biology. Designating a calendar date as a starting place to achieve behavioral and/or psychological change is entirely legitimate. If you want a change, set it & get it.

@elonmusk @ashleevance @mtaibbi @joerogan As an indie publisher since 2002 I would estimate that Twitter has sent less than 1% of our traffic. Facebook and Pinterest would far exceed it. We promote to Facebook and Twitter equally and FB would drive 10x traffic.

@PatFlynn Noooo… Just for ALL the many monetization opportunities that exist on FB by easily repurposing content you’re already creating plus to lower ad costs with custom audiences… I wouldn’t sleep on FB. It’s still the biggest social platform by far with daily active users
