It was just another weekend in March for Tom Izzo.
• 61st NCAA Tournament win
• 22-5 in the Round of 64
• 17-5 in the Round of 32
• 26-9 in 2nd game of weekend
• 17th Sweet Sixteen
MR. MARCH😤
Tom Izzo is now 26-9 in the second game of an NCAA Tournament weekend.
Seven of those nine losses have come to a No. 1 seed or the eventual national champion.
When you’ve been the premier program in the conference for 30 years, people are going to pray your program falls off.
People thought Izzo was dead after COVID. They thought last year was a fluke. That’s a main reason everyone is so angry.
MSU basketball isn’t going anywhere, and yall can kiss our ass. Go green.
Izzo crying. Entire Spartan roster, with arms linked, behind him, before celebrating Jase Richardson.
I was told college hoops was just NIL mercenaries who no longer care about team.
With the MSU win and the MD, UM, Purdue losses, the Spartans are once again the Big Ten's last team standing in the NCAA Tournament. In the 27 tournaments since 1998, MSU has been the last team standing 11 times (8 outright, 3 shared), for a 9.5/27 share (35%).

when you're a top in-state kid who comes to Michigan State, you have two goals:
-beat Michigan (6-2 record in his four years) ✅
-put a banner in the rafters of the Breslin Center ✅
job well done, JA3

I want to congratulate my favorite college basketball coach MSU’s Tom Izzo for his 700th win last night as my Spartans beat our rival Michigan Wolverines 81-62! Our friendship goes back 39 years, especially his last 29 as head coach. I have appreciated the fact that he treats me as if I was one of his own players like Mateen Cleaves, Draymond Green, or Jaren Jackson Jr. and I love him for that. He has done so much for college basketball, for the state of Michigan, and for all Spartan fans across world! @MSU_Basketball
