@tess_mcanally #edtechw I don't support merit pay because I don't believe your students' grades are directly reflective of your teaching.

@MsJohnsonElemEd @tess_mcanally I agree! Honestly, I think education begins at home!

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@jessica_niccum This is actually a very good perspective on the pros of testing.

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@citizen_alma @tess_mcanally so do you think that testing is appropriate after elementary school?

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@kb_garcia10 @tess_mcanally for sure! In my experience, the parents were some of the most negative challenges actually.

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@WednesDaee @tess_mcanally I agree, the scariest thing for me is my preparation and not being able to give the students what they need

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@MsJohnsonElemEd @tess_mcanally That's really neat that you were already able to apply something you did in our class

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@WednesDaee @tess_mcanally agreed because you were given outlines for everything

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@MsJohnsonElemEd @tess_mcanally I agree because I have seen students who don't test well, but definitely grasp the information taught

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@sarah7396 @tess_mcanally I agree, it's too limited when you're required to teach solely to pass a test

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@tess_mcanally I honestly don't know of a pro for testing because each student may test differently, so it's not necessarily the best method

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@tess_mcanally the challenges differ respectively, so ultimately it depends on the area. #edtechw

[Ryan Oakes @CoachO_Math]

@tess_mcanally that I won't be organized enough #edtechw

@tess_mcanally the best tech tool I have used thus far would be the infographic #edtechw

@tess_mcanally I would change the salary for teachers. Education is one of the most important professions, it should be treated accordingly
