TCQ was founded in January 2018 and at the time we were 19 years of age. Both now 20, we have roles at professional clubs and continue to coach at grassroots level. The aim of this network is merely to keep growing it to develop ourselves and others in the process - R & P

The way Liverpool utilised there CM’s last night was very interesting. Bar Henderson, Wij & Milner took up wide fullback positions in build up. Allowing TAA & Robertson to push higher up the field as wingers & Salah/Mane to move infield. -R #TCQ #LIVPSG

@PeterPrickett I feel personally that discouraging certain actions in certain areas tends to be due to a natural (perhaps wrong) focus on the result. Not sure how detrimental that is to the player - P

An important development when you consider ‘The Future Player’ concept of the FA’s England DNA. What does the modern day wide player need and is your coaching encouraging those very traits? - P

Hazard 5 in 5, Mane 4 in 5, Richarlison 3 in 3, Zaha 3 in 4. All top scorers for their clubs. Wide players in the PL are now consistently competing with centre forwards for goals. Its an interesting evolution.

@CoachingQuad Are we telling them how and where to beat players? I hope that coaches aren't.
We might encourage them to learn to take players on so that the dribbler gets onto their dominant foot (or encouraging them to develop their non dominant foot), but it is their picture to interpret.

Now that many are considered to be wide forwards, how are we compensating for that change if so at all? What sort of player are you developing? - P

Are we penalising players for incomplete dribbles in the final third? When we suggest players “beat their man” are we placing restrictions on that. I.e. “take him round the outside”? - P

Hi all, been slow on our side as our U10s season begins this Sunday. Training sessions have been positive. Most recently did a match scenario in which we divided the pitch into thirds placing constraints on the movement of players in each third - P #TCQ

This was done mostly because the day before, we had a match and while there were positives the most alarming was that the boys struggled to understand their positional responsibilities as few had played organised football before - P
