@GenworthLife is requesting another rate hike for Maine policy holders. The request was approved for a 54% increase. I received notification yesterday that another request has been made from the Maine Bureau of Insurance to an increase of 111%. #ratehike#longtermhealthcare
It is interesting that Sole-Smith has made money off of the very thing she admonishes: #dietculture. WHICH has been around way longer than she has been alive. #obesity treatment is not #dietculture#childhoodobesity is real. So is science.
It is a delicate balance keeping up with the debate on #obesity treatment and maintaining your sanity. Actually, there should not be a debate. This article kept me up last night. literally. Maybe, that was the point. https://t.co/N38m9OlSJn
So this what was happening most of my adult life: #foodnoise. It's real. It can be debilitating in a way many cannot understand. Naysayers gonna nay. My game, MY RULES. @ConscienHealth thank you for giving this voice https://t.co/TGkmeMOafF
Should we believe or dismiss the people who can’t stop talking about the benefits they’ve enjoyed from turning down the volume on #FoodNoise? Who’s #gaslighting who?

@USPS please explain why an insured package with a tracking # and a delivery time suddenly gets re-routed a thousand miles away and no re-delivery date. It happens to have my medication in it.
@lourdesgnavarro THANK YOU for doing this. #obesity is a complex disease that needs more of this kind of reporting. We need to give those with the disease the voice to demand better care and we need to continue to educate those who still believe that weight is all about willpower.
@askdrfatima and @lourdesgnavarro NAIL this in this fantastic piece. If you are skeptical about #obesity, I urge you to listen to this. https://t.co/QEtY68EDED
A big misconception in #obesity treatments is that if you take medication, people won't exercise or eat healthfully. It is the 'easy way out'. Healthful movement and nutrition are just a spoke in the wheel of treatment. Treating obesity is NOT an easy way out. #Obesitycare
The bullet points pull you in but in the end the piece continues to prop up barriers for those with #obesity. BTW: the title of “The Biggest Loser” is yet just another #weightbias The media needs to do better.
A recent click bait headline leads to an article of both truths and misinformation rooted in a lack of understanding of #obesity as a disease
It’s disappointing that a person with so much experience helping individuals doesn’t see that meds can be part of individualized care
TV and the media often add to the stigma of living with #obesity. Learn more about how the media and popular culture are shaping unhealthy attitudes about weight and what needs to change: https://t.co/mKjdnJNXAo

“It’s the shame.”
Dr. Caroline Apovian of the Weight Management and Wellness Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital says that her patients often feel ashamed and believe a lack of willpower led to their obesity. https://t.co/yn4hNbX2Vf
