@TealSyndicate You didn’t think we were going to enjoy poaching a coach away from fans who’ve been puffing their chests out and cosplaying as a blue blood? Everyone told you the opportunity offered to him was going to be substantial. Now you’re upset that was accurate.
@johnmichaelw@THE_REAL_CH3@beardywxm What a historical list has to do with the UK’s current issues and changing demographic in 2026, I’m sure I don’t know. But congrats I guess.
@beardywxm@carredondo28 Despite the pissing contest on this app the last day or so I much prefer that route than building something soulless and new. I like the character of college football, English stadiums and baseball parks that ARE old or try to pay homage to that era at least
@carredondo28@beardywxm Upgrading an old park is more expensive apparently but if you have a historic stadium I think the powers that be should do everything they can to pull that off. But 9 times out of 10 an owner is not going to do that.
@johnmichaelw@THE_REAL_CH3@beardywxm Mate, if I were you I would be more worried whether my local police are going to let me bleed out if a brown man assaults me than the state of the US. But anywho…
@johnmichaelw@THE_REAL_CH3@beardywxm Ah yes. English football and its fan culture is so much more intellectual.
It’s a mystery wrapped inside an enigma why everyone is having a much better discourse with everyone not from the UK
@johnmichaelw@THE_REAL_CH3@beardywxm Good for you. It’s not like that here. College football is mostly centered in smaller towns & cities that never had an NFL presence. It IS the main event there. It’s a different fan culture and increasingly a different game from the NFL.
