In 2012, at the Medical College of Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, SC/ST MBBS students were repeatedly failed in Physiology despite passing Anatomy and Biochemistry.

When re-examined under High Court supervision, 24 of 25 students passed.

The Mungekar Committee later found the allegations of caste discrimination genuine and well-founded.

The Committee recommended ₹10 lakh compensation for the affected students, suspension of the concerned faculty and administrative staff, and legal action under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against those responsible.

Reservation exists because of Casteism.

‘आरक्षण सुधार’ के नाम पर ‘आरक्षण समाप्ति’ का षड्यंत्र पीडीए समाज के ख़िलाफ़ एक और गह��ी साज़िश है। आरक्षण पीडीए का अधिकार है किसी की इच्छा का विषय नहीं।

भाजपा व उनके संगी-साथी समय-समय पर जिस तरह कभी ‘समीक्षा’ तो कभी ‘सुधार’ जैसे अस्पष्ट शब्दों का प्रयोग कर आरक्षण का विरोध करते हैं या कभी ‘क्रीमीलेयर’ की बात करते हैं या ‘आरक्षण त्यागने’ की सलाह देते हैं, वो सदियों से शोषित-वंचित लोगों को मिले आरक्षण के अधिकार की हक़मारी की लगातार की जा रही कोशिश के अलग-अलग मुखौटे हैं।

आरक्षण था, आरक्षण है, आरक्षण रहेगा!
