I agree. I feel like I can better incorporate information I learned in a half-day or shorter PD rather than a longer one. I think I retain the small amounts of information better than being thrown days worth of information at once.

@martina13642 I love learning new things in math. It is my favorite subject to teach. Further development and research in math always interest me. It sounds like a great conference worth checking out on their website.
@JulieEagle5 This looks like it would be pretty good. Accountable math talk is so important during a student's math time. Students need to learn how to ask quality questions and to collaborate with each other. This is vitally important to their learning.
@Raven17626529 I just read about it. It looks like an excellent professional development. I would love to go to something like that. Have you or anyone you personally know been to this PD?

@pbsteachers@mrskatiefree These are great. I am always looking for new math games to play with my students. They love to choose from a math game menu and they love math card games. Thanks for the info.

@JeffSta95930749 I looked at their site. eLearning Alabama has a ton of web-based professional developments. Have you used a web-based PD? I am just wondering how it compares to a hands-on, in-person PD.
AMSTI has some wonderful hands-on professional development opportunities across the state. Their experiments are engaging and fun for students! Check out their website and their professional development opportunities. #AMSTI4all
