Reminder: Pitching machine should emulate an actual release point.

Peep the machine off center and about 6 feet in front of rubber.

Scrimmage started with 1-1 count runner on 2nd base.

FB set to 85MPH which I thought was surprisingly low.

I love the original post by @CoachSeely. I modified the pic to show typical machine set up vs ideal set up for Nolan McLean. McLean is on the extreme side of release distance from the center of the rubber (3.5'-3.8') but, I hope to illustrate why the set up of your pitching machine is so critical. Watch your pitchers throw and take note of where they release the ball relative to the center of the rubber and adjust machine placement accordingly. Also, consider extension legs to raise the machine up closer to release height.
