Nauseating fact:
#KinderMorgan bought the existing pipeline from Trans Mountain in 2007 for approximately $550 million. The Trudeau government just bought this 60 year old, leaky pipeline for $4.5 billion. We have been royally shafted.

1. We urgently need to get our resources to market. Under the circumstances, the government's plan for #TransMountainPipeline is the least bad alternative.
2. Government ownership must be strictly temporary.
3. We must fix our broken regulatory system now! #cdnpoli#TMX
It's gonna take decades to collect $7.4 billion to finance the Trans Mountain expansion pipeline from tolls collected from oil exporters using the much smaller existing pipeline. Not sure how Morneau can suggest there's no fiscal hit on the government bottom line.
The @USTreasury has just published a FAQ on what Trump's announcement actually means for sanctions. Basically, there's a 90- and a 180-day wind-down period. After that, this is what the U.S. actually means (it's spelled quite clearly) -- #OOTT
Breaking: Thousands of people evacuated due to massive fire at an oil refinery in Superior, Wisconsin. At least 20 people have been injured in the incident.
The enviro cost of the engine emissions alone is enough to make the tree-hugger in me mad. The fact we're burning petroleum products to move petroleum products (!) makes the economist in me livid. But most galling? This is the kind of export infra you'd see in Angola, not Canada
Oh good, an even worse alternative to #Pipelines than trains. Because a truck doesn't emit while it drives, need a human driver (who never crashes), nor congest existing infrastructure https://t.co/saueBXktby

We're as surprised as you'll be to learn that this is a video of a KRG crude oil transfer between two ships (StS) out at sea. We will not point out the source of the video or the names of the vessels and location, but the story is legit based on the vessel's captain. #OOTT
How #SaudiArabia (blue line) has concentrated its #oil production cuts in the U.S. and Europe (the markets with more visible inventories tracking) while selling more into less tracked markets -- via @IEA@Kpler#OOTT#OPEC
