@JohnnyXmas @synadia I've been asked to support NATS and am compelled to say no for that reason. There's no guarantee a fix will be merged (even being a maintainer). Or in this case if a fix will merge well into copied / modified code.

@JohnnyXmas A question to ask is how are they going to provide SLAs for their product if most of their critical code base is copied from NATS and is maintained by another company? Would want assurances of a support contract with @synadia at a minimum before going to production.
