@SamanthaLCoy A6: I think it will flow naturally once we make ourselves more aware of them. I constantly find places to integrate across curricular areas. Sometimes it is intentional and other times it is not. If we point them out when we notice them, the kids will too! #BESPLC

When you can see/understand other perspectives you can understand actions/thoughts/feelings and that makes you a better person. #BESPLC

We want to give them as much time to learn as possible b/c we are judged on their growth academically and not socially or emotionally or as a person. #BESPLC

@LaurenN81031384 @SamanthaLCoy YES! Great leaders don't tell, they show. By modeling this for kids we show them we are not perfect but this is how we handle things that are out of our control. We can talk and talk all day but we have to live it and model it!

A5: My personal goal for next year is to handle my stress and anxiety better. There are many things out of my control and I need to do what is best for me and my students. Everything else will fall into place. #BESPLC

@cegielski_a Teachers modeling SEL will allow students to imitate what they see. This brings me back to our strengths from the other day. Even if it is out of our comfort zone we can still model for kids. Overcoming those fears is still modeling. Something I want to improve upon. #BESPLC

A4: When students see adults in the building happy to be at school and go out of their way to be kind to one another they know we really mean it when we talk about SEL. You can't just talk about it you actually have to do it! Actions > Words #BESPLC

A3: take away= Relationships! When I look back at my schooling it is the people I remember, not what they taught me. Unfortunately most teachers, especially testing grades, feel more pressure to meet academics then to meet emotional needs.
