Refugee protection begins with awareness and action. To strengthen this commitment, @RCKKenya , in partnership with @UNHCR_Kenya , held a two-day Refugee Law Training at Kiganjo Police Training College. The training aimed to build the knowledge and skills of police instructors on how to protect refugees and uphold human rights.

During the sessions, 40 police instructors learned about #refugeeprotection, #HumanRights , and the laws that safeguard asylum seekers. Key discussions focused on the principle of non-refoulement, which ensures refugees are not returned to places where they face danger.

The training encouraged open dialogue, corrected misconceptions, and strengthened collaboration between Police Service, @RCKKenya @UNHCR_Kenya and @DRSKenya in promoting refugee rights.

Through empowering law enforcement officers, @RCKKenya and partners are promoting a rights-based system of refugee protection that upholds safety, dignity, and justice for every person.
