@blackintheempir I only care about left vs right in that around the time Trump got elected, the left spread such lies about what he was and was not going to do, made us believe it and if we were ever unsure and asked questions, we were told to sit down and shut up.

@blackintheempir I wish somebody would write a book on how one man managed to either piss off or cause such a huge percentage of the population of this country to be afraid for their very lives, and I say this as someone who was effected by that for quite a while.

@celerascabin And you can have that view if you would like to. Trust me, a couple of years ago I'd have thought this view was selfish, but I've changed a lot since 2020, as I'm sure have we all.

@celerascabin What they say is something along the lines of, "I came to this country, and it's a great country, but there is also a wrong and a right way to do things and the people just showing up at the Southern border are doing this the wrong way."

@celerascabin I am especially worried about resources. We're looking at hard times ahead. Also, why is it that we're the only country that can take in asylum seekers? I've also spoken to some Hispanics who emigrated here legally and they don't think people should just be able to show up.

@celerascabin We need to get a handle on the situation here now before we add more into it, then we can see what small changes to the immigration system we can make moving forward.

@celerascabin There are several people in the United States who want to either shoot or toss out all of the people who've come here illegally. I don't want to do that because it's just impractical, but I think a strong message of "Don't come here right now," would be perfect.

@celerascabin For example, I like that you have to look for work before you even move there. We live in an awesome country, let's keep it awesome by being very very selective of who we allow in. I really don't see an issue with that. Other countries around the world do the exact same thing.
