A case of NWS may have been detected in South Texas. The sample is now at USDA's National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) in Ames, lowa for confirmatory testing. We will provide updates the moment results are available.
We have already activated personnel on the ground and are working with local partners.
What you can expect from us is transparency, candor, and most important — action.

Americas cattle producers built strong demand through quality and hard work. Expanding Argentina’s market access undermines that success and threatens rural communities. Let the market work.

CCA Immediate Past President, Tom Harrington, provided testimony on the wolf program today before the Water and Ag Review Committee at the State Capitol. His first-hand knowledge and insights are vital for informing future legislation and policies.
Thank you @SecRollins for standing with American cattle producers and continuing to protect family farms from New World screwworm by building a sterile fly facility at Moore Air Base near Mission, Texas.
Moore Air Base was previously part of our nation’s screwworm eradication effort in the 1960s and now this base will be the cornerstone of our renewed fight against this parasite!

2 more calves were killed at McCabe Ranch this week. Predator ID was inconclusive.
Since March, 18 animals have been lost or gone missing across neighboring ranches. This is what producers are up against. Up all night calving just to lose them right in the calving pastures.
Honored some pretty incredible Colorado agriculture leaders tonight including CCA’s past EVP, Terry Fankhauser. Visionary, mentor, leader, collaborator, innovator, and policy guru are just some words that come to mind to describe him. Congrats to all current and past inductees!
January and Feb are busy for CCA Leadership! We are proud to travel the state to meet our members at local cattlemen’s association meeting. Here’s CCA President, Tom Harrington at Pikes Peak Cattlemen’s Meeting in #ColoradoSprings!
CCA is thrilled to kick off 2025 with a refreshed X page! Stay tuned for exciting updates, insights, and all things CCA. Follow us to be part of our journey this year!
Had a great morning touring Altenburg Super Baldy Ranch and the @ColoradoStateU Agricultural Research, Development and Education Center (ARDEC). My thanks to @ColoradoCattle and @LandonGates for a very informative tour. I’m pictured here with a few of my newest friends.
@sacredsongfarm All things aren’t addressed on social media. Rather NCBA and CCA last week and tonight advanced data that illustrated the beef industry is nearly climate neutral. Ag is the Solution not the problem.
Thanks to everyone who supported the meat value chain from livestock feed growers to livestock producers then to those who sell the product and ultimately the consumers. Throughout Colorado to across the United States and even in other countries.
Close to 50 #MeatIn events have been added to the @ColoradoCattle listings from around the state in opposition to @GovofCO's proclamation. See the full list or add to the listings here:
