As the New York Knicks embark on their first potential championship since 1973, it's hard not to think about the loyal fans that have stood by them for many years. An 18 year old Ping arrived in America in 1974 with only his shirt on his back. Outside of a cousin attending law school, Ping was alone. He found a transistor radio on a park bench that forever changed his life. Marv Albert didn't just teach Ping English but made him fall in love with a new game. A delivery career began but his passion for the Knicks never stopped. Walt Frazier not only became a customer but a friend throughout the 70s. Ping was often seen partying with Clyde at many of NY's hottest clubs. As the years went by the championship team eventually split up. Ping loved his job but he loved his Knicks more. Every delivery, Marv was by his side. His cousin became a shark rising the corporate ladder but none of it mattered. Earl the Pearl, Cartwright, Bernard, Trent Tucker, Ewing, Mason, Jeremy Lin all came and went leaving Ping empty. As he turned 70 this year, Ping vowed to retire if and only if his Knicks win the NBA championship. He dedicated his life to this city not only delivering pea pods but rooting for the one team that changed his life. Let's go Knicks! 🏀

In Australia, Aussie Rules Football is up there with hockey as one of the most brutal contact sports around. They systemically changed rules over the years to basically penalise heavy contact. It used to be the best thing about the game.
