@lindsay__stamp Nope. The American dream is alive and well. You're just stuck in the soulless, living hell of California. Get out of big blue cities and big blue states, like California and you'll find it.
@theficouple I took a new Ford Explorer for a test drive yesterday. The dealer told me in order to use the maps, I'll need a subscription service for $15 a month. I asked if I could pay for maps once a year like "Sync My Ride" now? He said it doesn't work that way anymore.
@0xDavecryps The real story is that she put up with it for 8 years. Maybe even to this day.
Move on, people, move on when you have poor working conditions. She had one day a week to look for other jobs. Why didn't she?
@WallStreetApes But we all know this. Read the story about Simon Weckert.
In 2020, Weckert loaded 99 smartphones running Google Maps into a small red wagon and walked through the streets of Berlin. Because cell phones are monitored, he caused a virtual traffic jam in Google maps.
@TheAlphaThought Agreed. And the sad part is, if the people around him found out about it, many would be jealous and want to take it from him rather than find out how he did it so they do the same thing themselves.
Jealousy = want take from you
Envy = want to be like you
@RealLuthen Why is the party of love and tolerance so often unloving and intolerant? Trans folks say "you must accept me as I am." But when someone, like Elon, has a different opinion, they cannot accept him for who he is. Why?
Hypocrisy.
@FollowIncentiv The people who think pensions are any different than 401k's are misguided. The company either gives the money to the pension fund or it gives it to your fund to invest yourself.
The difference is, without a pension the employee can blow the money today instead of saving.
@DavidWolfe Liberal: "I don't understand why golf courses use so much water. Twice as much as data centers. No food is grown. Why are they using one of life's necessities for no reason. It's a waste."
@pnwguerrilla She had you over all the time for Sunday dinner when you were growing up. If you'd invite her over more often now, she wouldn't need a side hustle.
@japan_nobunaga That and... WWII helped. Allied forces sought to demilitarize Japan after the war.
In 1958, Japan enacted the Firearm and Sword Possession Control Law, which established the principle that:
"No person shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords."
@Warlogger That was a nice intro to how banks work. The one thing you neglected to say was the $100 Rocky put into bitcoin could only be worth $90 next week. What will Rocky do when he needs that $100? Wait? Maybe 48 hours, like you did for your money? Bitcoin is not the answer.
