BCCI has a moral duty not to play Pakistan. As an Indian sports body, it is supposed to mirror public sentiment, but morality is an optional thing for buisnesses in India.

So let’s move to the next point: accountability. BCCI isn’t elected by us, so it’s not accountable to us. The govt is. Therefore, I urge GoI, Shri @narendramodi, @AmitShah, @mansukhmandviya, to feel the national sentiment and impose a complete ban on sporting ties with Pakistan.

Asia Cup, Falana Cup, Dhinkana Cup, who cares? BCCI is wealthier than all other cricket boards combined. It holds unmatched influence in world cricket. If we stop playing against Pakistan, I’m sure ICC and other countries will be forced to organize tournaments without them. In global cricket, it’s Pakistan that’s expendable, not India. Let’s make our weight felt.

आपको पता है देश अभी भी पिछड़ा क्यों है? क्योंकि इन्हें हर जगह जाति दिखते है। इन्हें इस बात का दुख नहीं कि झालावाड़ में स्कूल की छत गिरने से 7 बच्चों की मृत्यु हो गई, बल्कि दुख इस बात का है कि मरने वालों में सवर्णों के बच्चे क्यों नहीं थे! अगर दो चार सवर्ण बच्चे भी मर जाते तो इनकी आत्मा को शान्ति मिल जाती।

इस देश में एक से एक नमूने मिलेंगे आपको। जिस गांव में यह दुर्घटना हुई वहां 70% आबादी अनुसूचित जाति और जनजाति से है। जिनकी संख्या अधिक है वह सरकारी स्कूलों में अधिक पढ़ेंगे भी। लेकिन इन्हें जाति से आगे कुछ नहीं दिखता।

इनका दूसरा पक्ष है कि SC/ST अभी भी गरीब हैं। लेकिन जब कहा जाता है कि आरक्षण में वर्गीकरण कर दो, गरीबों को अधिक मौका दो तो यही लोग बोलते हैं कि आरक्षण गरीबी उन्मूलन योजना नहीं है। जो अमीर है जिसके पास सारे संसाधन उपलब्ध हैं वह इन गरीब लोगों का आरक्षण का हक खा रहा है। पीपलोदी गांव के कितने गरीब आदिवासी लोगों को आरक्षण का लाभ मिला? शायद एक भी नहीं! क्योंकि गरीब आदिवासी के नाम पर सारी मलाई कुछ अमीर जातियां खा जाती हैं।

आप सरकारों को दोष दीजिए, आप नेताओं को बोलिए, अधिकारियों को बोलिए जो इस घटना के दोषी हैं। लेकिन आपका दुख यह है कि सामान्य वर्ग का कोई क्यों नहीं मरा? यह निकृष्ट सोच है, यह दिखाती है कि आप पतित भावना से पीड़ित हैं, इलाज कराइए। लाशों पर राजनीति नहीं की जाती, और बच्चों की लाशों पर तो बिल्कुल भी नहीं!

Soumyashree Bisi, 20, a B.Ed student at Fakir Mohan College, Balasore, approached her HoD, Samir Kumar Sahu, for help with her low attendance.

Sahu allegedly demanded sexual favours in return. She got angry and left, but he kept repeating the demand and threatened to lower her marks if she refused.

On July 1, She filed a complaint against Sahu with college authorities. During the internal probe, she realised the college was protecting the HoD.

As an ABVP member, she hoped for help from the BJP govt at the state and centre. She created an X account and tagged the Odisha CM, state ministers, union education minister, NCW and others for help, but no one responded.

On July 10, the internal committee cleared the HoD. Principal Dilip Ghosh offered her “counseling” and told her to withdraw the complaint, warning she could be rusticated.

On July 12, she staged a protest on campus, met the principal and HoD, then poured petrol on herself outside the principal’s office and set herself on fire. She died two days later in hospital.

When alive, she begged and pleaded with everyone, hoping someone would listen. No one did. Once she hurt herself, suddenly everyone woke up for damage control.

HoD Sahu was arrested, and Principal Ghosh suspended. The Higher Education Dept launched an inquiry; NCW and NHRC began probes. President Murmu visited.

The Governor sought a report. NHRC and UGC issued directives; the govt told colleges to ensure ICC compliance. CM Majhi promised strict action and ₹20 lakh compensation.

All students should be equal in the eyes of the rulers. But if a student loyal to your ideology begs your govt for help and still dies like this, it’s betrayal by the very system and party she trusted.

Shame on Odisha govt. Shame on BJP.

MNS workers are mostly idle, jobless men, the kind even their families have stopped taking seriously, having given up on them doing anything meaningful.

The outfit gives them a sense of purpose by convincing them that their only skill, knowing the local language, makes them special, and that anyone who doesn’t is a cultural threat.

Individually, they couldn’t hurt a fly. Even in groups, they only go after soft targets, the poor, elderly, women, or those alone. They vent their frustration on them and walk away feeling manly, important, even heroic. Social media now gives them few local cheerleaders who believe they’re ‘civilizational warriors.’

But they’d never dare try this at a rich man’s house, like Ambani’s, or in Muslim localities, we know why.

Ruling parties usually look the other way, scared of being seen as anti-local for acting against these gladiators.

When criticised, they hide behind Maratha lineage and play victim, claiming their ancestors fought for those now questioning them.

What they fail to grasp is this: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would’ve punished them for attacking a poor Hindu over language. The Marathas fought for Hindavi Swarajya, reclaimed large parts of North India from Mughals, restored temples, and protected Hindu culture.

They never demanded North to learn Marathi or punished anyone over language. Their fight was civilisational, not linguistic. So before calling them your ancestors, try living by their values, not just misusing their name.

Yes, people living in Maharashtra long-term should learn Marathi for better integration, it’s in their own interest. But harassing or assaulting them for not doing so is completely unacceptable.

आज दिनांक 29 जून, UGC NET परीक्षा के प्रथम सत्र के दौरान, परीक्षा केंद्र पर उपस्थित सभी परीक्षार्थियों से प्रति व्यक्ति ₹50 की राशि बैग रखने के लिए वसूली गई। यह एक चिंताजनक और अनुचित स्थिति है, जिसे नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।

जब हम NTA (National Testing Agency) के माध्यम से UGC NET का फॉर्म भरते हैं, उस समय हम परीक्षा शुल्क (शुल्क श्रेणी के अनुसार ₹325 से ₹1150 तक) का भुगतान करते हैं, जो कि परीक्षा आयोजन, सेंटर सुविधा, और प्रबंधन खर्च को समाहित करता है।

क्या परीक्षा केंद्र को स्वयंसेवी रूप से ऐसी सेवाएं देकर पैसे वसूलने का अधिकार है?

क्या इस प्रक्रिया की जानकारी NTA को है, और यदि नहीं, तो क्या यह भ्रष्टाचार का मामला नहीं है?

क्या इस अतिरिक्त शुल्क की रसीद परीक्षार्थियों को दी गई? (अक्सर ऐसा नहीं होता)

इस प्रकार के अनधिकृत शुल्क वसूली की जांच करवाई जाए।

ऐसे परीक्षा केंद्रों पर कार्रवाई की जाए, जो छात्रों से अवैध रूप से पैसा वसूल रहे हैं।

भविष्य में सभी परीक्षा केंद्रों को स्पष्ट दिशा-निर्देश दिए जाएं कि किसी भी प्रकार का अतिरिक्त शुल्क न लिया जाए।

What's the point of the Ethics paper in UPSC? Who’s going to admit they’ll take bribes ranging from 20 lakhs to 20 crores to write off cases and enquiries in future?

It’s just pretentious by design. Everyone writes ideal answers that few actually follows. It rewards polished moral posturing over real-world integrity. Bureaucrats caught in scams have aced this very paper. It doesn’t filter out the unethical; it merely filters out those unable to articulate idealism convincingly.
