In Sylhet, the APPG on Bangladesh met former tea garden workers in the minority Urang community, to learn more about them and @BRACworld’s Ultra Poor Graduation approach.

Since 2002, this approach offers a time-bound pathway to agency, dignity and control over resources, for those in poverty so entrenched that they would not benefit from micro finance.

A trial by the LSE found 95% of participants continued to improve their living standards when measured 11 years after interventions ended.
