Today we're announcing a £200m pot to help local authorities build the right schemes for their area & give people choice to #walk#wheel#cycle for everyday trips. The fund will deliver new & improved local links, reduce emissions & boost high streets https://t.co/FR2AeMTyoW
A few inaccuracies here…The land belongs to @southkesteven not #Stamford Endowed Schools and it is school who are acquiring. @LincolnshireCC and @StamfordTC have no direct interest in the car park which is only rarely full. Our view - more bike parking pls @KelhamCooke
Have you seen the business case for car park expansion @ConnectStamford? Seems counter to the vision for Stamford to becoming leading market town for walking & cycling? Did @LincolnshireCC@StamfordTC consult? @KelhamCooke
Paris before & after great movement reforms of @Anne_Hidalgo advised by @CarlosMorenoFr Where are there more people? Where is it agreeable to spend more time or visit the shops?

Battling traffic this week? Measures to reduce traffic & make walking and cycling safer and more attractive are overwhelmingly supported by the public. @BikeIsBestHQ research should help give local leaders confidence to build futures with less traffic https://t.co/vy4fQEukBL…
Enabling people to cycle everyday journeys can help save money, boost happiness and health. It's something we should be doing regardless of a cost of living crisis as it always makes good sense to help people travel healthier for less #BikeIsBest@ThisisDaveT@Sustrans_East
@nessawinters @LincolnshireCC Firstly Connect Stamford is an independent community interest company. Our agreements in terms of the #stamfordgreenwheel have been made with the developers who have included it is their masterplans. St George’s LTN? you’ll have to speak to @LincolnshireCC@rgdavies
Delighted to report that as well as being included in various developers master plans, including those for Stamford North and StMartin’s Park, the #StamfordGreenWheel also features in the #Stamford Cycling and Walking Plan which will be published by @LincolnshireCC in early 2023.
It’s cold enough in #Stamford this morning to put you off leaving your house, let alone going for a cycle. But, if you are braving the weather on two wheels, we've got a few tips to keep you safe on the saddle. https://t.co/nSXPXl1Xdj

FYI - We are working with residents in Easton and with @burghleyhouse to look at this and other routes between Stamford, Easton, Collyweston and Duddington. These things take time but watch this space. @NNorthantsC
@NNorthantsC any ideas why the shared cycle route stops at Easton on the Hill, and doesn't carry on to Collyweston? Makes family travel via alternatives to cars quite difficult when there's not continuity in infrastructure.
Have a chat with @ConnectStamford to sort this out?
When we make our streets safe for children, we make them safe for almost everyone. With the start of the school year imminent, remember that school run traffic chaos is a choice that we can change if we want to. Building safe routes to school benefits all of us @LincolnshireCC
Avoid the Bank Holiday traffic this weekend by leaving the car at home & jumping on your bike or walking. Exploring almost anywhere by bike or on foot is wonderful way to experience it more fully. Great fun, great for you & better for your community and for the environment.
