IMO, with recent catalysts, 'decentralization' is going to play a more important role in 2021 than anyone originally thought. The centralization of power, running the gamut from public to private space, has led to systematic failures/missteps that will drive reactions
A financial system where most of the actors are autonomous, but every move that is made is braodcast transparently is broken.
Privacy cant just be a feature. It's the condition under which autonomous action is structurally possible.
One of my favorite byproducts of AI right now is the push back toward privacy and uncensorable systems.
Bitcoin's whitepaper had a whole section on privacy with a new address every transaction, no linkable identity, and the whole point was that you could transact without being watched. crypto drifted away from that but ai is now pulling us back. thankfully
When agents start transacting for you and models start training on your on-chain activity, a fully public ledger isn't neutral anymore. The cryptography was always there and ai is the thing that will force us to value it.
The next decade of crypto is going to be defined by this.
Privacy isn’t a feature, it's a requirement!
Programmable Privacy brings execution, logic, data, and state together into one system.
Maintain compliance without onchain exposure.
Onchain safety and strategy have been exposed for too long.

Hot Take: If you're building on a vanilla EVM, you're ngmi.
Here is a 5-post intro series on @skalenetwork programmable privacy + the first working onchain poker game with private player cards. (Automated Agnetic DeFi is 100% on the table too).
Here's why you won't make it👇
"Capitalism created the possibility of the win win win. It used to be a zero sum game where somebody won, somebody else lost.
The biggest mistake people make, intellectuals in particular, they still think we're in a zero sum world. They're obsessed with some billionaires because Bernie Sanders thinks that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk somehow stole the money from the people.
They don't understand that it's this prosperity machine that's creating more, not just for those billionaires, but for everything that they're touching. They're creating value for their customers, they're creating value for their employees. Their suppliers are flourishing, their investors are seeing their capital go up. It can be reinvested and compound.
All philanthropy ultimately comes from business. That's where the profits are.
Where does all the taxes come from? It ultimately comes from business as well.
This is the engine that's lifting humanity out. The entrepreneurs are the drivers of that engine. Somebody like Elon Musk, he gets a very, very, very tiny sliver of the value that he creates for the whole world."

I just ran a full game of poker on @SkaleNetwork. On EVM. In normal Solidity. With standard @Rabby_io and @MetaMask wallets.
Here is the part that matters: the hands stayed private the entire time. No opponent could see them. No offchain game logic needed while funds sit "locked" onchain.
At showdown: cards revealed. Winner determined. Payout executed.
Exactly how poker is supposed to work -- except it all happened onchain.
No weird languages. No special wallets. Just standard Solidity, standard ERC-20, standard infra -- except now the state stays hidden when you need it to with just one additional Solidity library and a couple of extra functions.
So What?
Agents can play it.
Developers can compose with it.
Users can bring their existing tokens and wallets.
It is not a walled garden demo running in isolation. It is composable, accessible, private infrastructure that plugs into everything already built on EVM.
Private state is working today [on SKALE].
Come build something with it.

Introducing SKALE Signal, a new weekly update on what’s actually shipping across the SKALE ecosystem.
It's been a busy week so lets get into it!
Here’s what's been going on 🧵
The unbundling of social is starting and AI is unlocking it all. IMO, there will be endless fragmentation and it will actually lead to a way better experience!
Hey everyone, we’re Nick & Nick!
For years, we’ve been the guys spamming group chats with pics of our latest home cooking experiments. Burnt edges, perfect sauces, glorious disasters, and the rare meal that feels straight out of a Michelin kitchen. But we kept asking ourselves: why don’t we have a real home for this hobby?
Bookworms have Goodreads
Runners have Strava
Chess nerds have chess .com
Cooks? We’ve got… blurry iMessage threads and disappearing Instagram stories??
So we built Linecook, it’s Strava for home cooking. A place to
• Track your cooking memories and milestones
• Save every recipe you’ve nailed, bombed, or want to try one day
• Celebrate every meal you make with your own two hands
We’re officially coming out of stealth today. Linecook is now in open beta on TestFlight, and we’re looking for passionate home cooks to join our community and help shape it.
If you love cooking, we want you in!
Join the beta at https://t.co/vM8CIuaCiU
And follow along as we build your new favorite social app!
~36 hours later and MPP on @SkaleNetwork is working both normally and with fully private balances thanks to SKALE's unique confidential token technology.
The developer experience with the Machine Payments Protocol is very strong. I am looking to push out an SDK to enable SKALE payments with mppx typescript library from @wevm_dev ASAP for other devs to start using.
Additionally, a little sneak peak of not just a demo I'm working on but also deep experimentation on the UX with BITE Protocol. 👀
It's no secret that @stripe and @tempo MPP is the talk of the agentic economy over the last 24 hours. Join me at 2 PM PST today to chat x402, MPP, and what this means for agentic commerce.
ALL speakers are welcome just come and raise your hand!
