PhD submitted, thank you to all the people who I bothered with questions and for those still writing remember that even the bad days get you closer to the end. Now for the hard part of returning all these books.
Anyone fancy seeing some #CommonwealthGames2022 T20 cricket? I've got six tickets for Edgbaston on Saturday 30th of July which I can't use anymore you're interested
Very excited about this, a vague idea on my part has turned into what promises to be a really interesting series of panels. Also tune into the connected session (no. 805) organised by Dr Emily Winkler at 16.30 for more historiographical adventures!
@IMC_Leeds is upon us! If you like thinking about how history was written and though about in the past, join us for these three sessions on Tuesday, organised by @ConnollyGiles and featuring some old and new friends!
#medievaltwitter Who fancies joining our saintly/monastic #IMC2021 panel? @GeorgieFitzg and I are planning one but need a 3rd person. As we missed out this year, we are using our 2020 papers and so have a loose 'Borders' theme. Get in touch for more info if you're interested.
Excitedly prepping for #imc2020
On a SAINTS EXTRAVAGANZA panel with @Armentarius and @ConnollyGiles

@H_Boston15 I have 16, it has a confirmation and a letter to royal justices from Burton, and some documents relating to Stone Priory and Trentham which reference Burton if that helps.
Does anyone know of any accessable resources on the usages and production of medieval seals (caracteres)? I work on twelfth-century Leon-Castile but anything relevant would be appreciated. Thanks! #medievaltwitter
@ChrisRouse1212 You've probably encountered the Charles Minard map/graph of Napoleon's Russian campaign before, but it is pretty cool, and I also offer a dog
@hanesydd11 @PetreRaleigh@GabbyStorey Great, thank you. I've had a look at the chronicle, it is a little vague on details unfortunately, but the number of fratricidal feuds implies that royal succession was certainly a contentious issue!
Does #medievaltwitter have any suggestion on where I could find out more on kingship on the isle of mann? Particularly coronations in the 12th and 13th centuries, i.e. who crowned kings, was there a tradition of crowning the heir apparent.
