@35137i@solassefa It’s amusing that he actually believes Eritreans have any genuine faith and trust in these groups. We all know they harbor expansionist views given the revisionist history they’re thought. When they’re not killing each other, they set their sights on Eritrea as a rallying call.
AlJazeera - Ethiopia is not being ‘dragged into war';
by Mr. Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, #Eritrea's Ambassador to Qatar
*"... The recent opinion article by senior Ethiopian officials Redwan Hussein and Getachew Reda, published on Al Jazeera English’s website, attempts to portray Ethiopia as an innocent victim being reluctantly 'dragged' into conflict by external actors. In doing so, the piece seeks to absolve the ruling Prosperity Party of responsibility for Ethiopia’s mounting domestic crises".
*"...More dangerously, this narrative serves as a diplomatic smoke screen designed to normalize the unprovoked hostility, state-sponsored inflammatory rhetoric and aggressive military mobilizations that the Ethiopian government has directed towards Eritrea since late 2023".
*"...This coordinated campaign seeks to normalize the idea that colonial boundaries in the Horn of Africa are negotiable in order to attempt to challenge inviolable principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity that have long underpinned regional stability".
*"...The broader pattern extends beyond Eritrea. Ethiopia’s recent foreign policy conduct has increasingly generated tensions with several neighboring states. The Memorandum of Understanding signed with Somaliland, which sought access to coastal territory without the consent of Somalia’s central government, triggered a major diplomatic crisis and raised serious questions regarding respect for established principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity".
*"...Similarly, Ethiopia has repeatedly pursued interventionist policies in neighboring conflicts in the quest for short-term geopolitical objectives. Whether in Somalia, Sudan or elsewhere, Addis Ababa’s reckless regional agenda of expansionism has contributed significantly to regional mistrust and destabilization".

@Zemedeneh Right to regain? Historical mistake? Ethiopian leaders, their cadres and Addis elite live in a fantasy land where facts don’t matter. You people are beyond delusional and ignorant and sadly the region and its people suffer as a result.
@assfarew@TheEconomist Even if you take a port by force, you’ll never be able to use it in peace. No international shipping or insurance company will do business with you. You people haven’t thought this through and each comment you post proves that. You’re delusional and quite frankly ignorant
@areda_meshesha@TheEconomist What peace? Your leaders and delusional cadres use external scapegoats to mask the internal conflicts that are ultimately flamed by your ruling parties. Rather than taking accountability, you lay blame elsewhere. Do better
@Mulunehmsl@FevenYemaney The issue is respect and trust. Ethiopian leaders made economic integration beyond difficult by starting off with threats. Who would trust someone who literally threatened to bomb and invade your nation because they felt they could?
Eritreans have zero tolerance for any attempt to undermine Eritrea’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Every inch of our land, airspace, and sea was liberated through decades of sacrifice and struggle. Our sovereignty was earned at a great cost—and it is not up for debate.
@TonyBadson@OnlyFootball_X@ESPNAfrica It’s the “truth” if you’re accustomed to lies and misinformation. For those of us who live in reality, it’s always been a separate entity.
@Ramin_KHA@PahlaviReza They never believed in human rights or rule of law. That was an excuse used to bully those nations that didn’t bend to their will. They use useless idiots such as yourself to destabilize their homelands so they can install puppet governments that will do their bidding.
@Reesewith3@chippy7476@Average_Jonas If these areas are the least favorite destinations in the U.S., the rest of America is not worth visiting. 🤣😂 We can have our preferences but let’s be realistic here.
@Lambikins67@Average_Jonas Who is threatening to attack Norway? 🤣😂 Let’s be honest here. The U.S. government is enriching Big Business and the military industrial complex, at the expense of its people. They use delusional people such as yourself to peddle their propaganda so people don’t see the truth.
