@HistoryVareck Wasn't that hard, to be fair. Franco had just barely won a civil war that left Spain decimated and barely functional. He needed as much as possible to stay in Spain to rebuild and keep the Commies suppressed.
Spain probably couldn't have withstood an invasion from Portugal.

I see a many saying that Vietnam likes us because of China.
This is obviously true but many people ignore that many Vietnamese during the war were pro-West, anti-Communism.
Also, Ho Chi Min, for all his faults, had an honest attitude of wanting to be friends with us after he won.

You just see these people, see their oily glibness, their arrogant entitlement in demanding that they be permitted to involve themselves in the deepest interstices of other's people's relationships, the way they ironically react to people setting boundaries against them with so much venom and character assassination, and you just know that they are fundamentally rotten to the core and no good will come of letting them have any power over anyone

@kilovh Man, the idea of being able to imagine crystal clear images with no effort blows my mind.
Like, do artists imagine what they are going to draw or paint ahead of time? Do they know what they want to make or do they figure it out as they go along?

@kilovh 100% But while I am not aphantasic, I get it, because I don't perfect images in my mind. What I see is dark and blurry usually, without real detail. I *can* bring up more detailed images, but only briefly and I have to concentrate on it.

@kilovh If they refuse to be fixed (i.e. begin acting like you instead of themselves) then they need to be scrapped, tossed out, or just plain destroyed.
It takes a lot of mental energy to realize that people are individuals. So much easier to assume they're broken or lying instead.

@kilovh I find that most people assume that most other people are exactly like themselves in all manners but appearance. I believe this is a major source of interpersonal contention. When someone else behaves differently than you, it means they are defective and need to be fixed.

@BaldingsWorld I love how all the people remaining in the US and refusing to move to Europe are telling people who have moved l that they need to stay there and can't return because it's so much better there.
Such delicious irony.
