Especially given the ludicrously awful span of copyright, the decay over time of stored copies without free access by the public means important historical works are disappearing every day.
Release your works under copyfree licenses so they may survive for the long term.
current news tie-in:
The JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures project is evidently developed primarily in #Ukraine, it's #copyfree software, and it just got added to the Works List:

The creator of that project is Oleksii Trekhleb. I plan to add more of his projects to the #copyfree Works List in coming days, but here he is in GitHub:

GhostBSD Online Meetup is tomorrow morning
This meetup is for open discussions related to GhostBSD, OpenZFS, FreeBSD with a period of questions and answers. Everyone can suggest a subject of discussion.
When: Saturday, Feb 19, 2022, 9:00 (AM) EST

I know this account was quiet for a while. It's exhausting switching accounts on Twitter, especially because the account grouping feature often fails and drops an account from the group. Choices: re-group, or re-login every time.
It happened at least thrice today.
The @Monero project is on the works list: https://t.co/LQVntg541V
So is @CakeWallet which supports #Monero: https://t.co/9mlvyAIzdd
The #Copyfree Initiative accepts gifts in Monero here:

As promised, more @DecredProject software got added to the works list:

* https://t.co/lNLl1voaNd
* https://t.co/eMyHt7E7dE
* https://t.co/MUFrRzoJn6
They are in addition to Decred Mobile Wallet, added and tweeted earlier:

The #Copyfree Initiative now supports @DecredProject donations. This is CI's first donation QR code with a logo in it; others may get upgraded to logo versions in time.

I won't promise everything will be added to that page, or even that arrangements could be made for any given one-time donation cryptocurrency, but the Copyfree Initiative is flexible, especially for #copyfree licensed projects.
If anyone at the @DecredProject has suggestions or corrections to offer, feel free to let me know. More Decred related software will likely be added to the works list in the near future.

credit where it's due: The QR code with logo was harvested from the Android Decred Wallet, built from the dcrandroid wallet project, which is available under the terms of the ISC License and, thus, is copyfree software.

@Knoblauchkeks Yes, I should have been more explicit:
COIL may be the only copyfree license on the SPDX list that inludes an *explicit* patent license. There are arguments that licenses such as MIT and MirOS employ the word "use" in a way that *implies* a patent license.
good news, everyone:
One of the very, very few options for a copyfree license with a patent clause, the COIL, has been added to SPDX.

Copyright law is used against creators, and the digital era has only exacerbated this fact. Often, we don't own the music, movies, or books in our lives. Tune it to @walledculture to learn more about copyright and what we can do to #EndCreativeMonopolies. https://t.co/6G7e9yutua
