@mikeirons12 From this list it would be Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, and Barber. Brahms, if it had been available, would have knocked either Beethoven or Barber off the list. Glad I don't have to make that choice because I love the Barber concerto. In addition an all "B" list is great.
A brief reminder that to 'spuddle' (17th century) is to work feebly and ineffectively, because your mind is either somewhere else, or hasn't yet shifted into gear.
Don't miss this chance to see this film. It lifts the curtain on what an audition truly is, and it does not avoid talking about certain taboo subjects. In english with french subtitles. This Thursday at 18:00 Conservatoire Royal de Liรจge
(free admission)
@nancykorendyke@united Crap !!! I knew this would make life so difficult for those who still try to be careful. I'm glad I don't have to make that choice.
We had a wonderful tour in Spain with Nicolas playing the Brahms 2nd concerto. Such a gifted, sensitive, and unique pianist. So young. Lupu was simply epic.
