@JuliaBe64274003 Signed. Sadly the use of public money for this sort of stuff is common.
@MichaelWestBiz did an investigation basically outlining that the royalties we receive from mining is completely outweighed by the subsidies we give to the industry. It's a rotten situation we live in.
Teachers:
How does it feel to know that Australia spends almost much money subsidizing foreign fossil fuel companies as it does schools?
Personally, I think we're well overdue for reform.

@justmitch10 Definitely helps that we learnt a lot of zoom skills through COVID!
I'm interested to see how video conferences are used in the curriculum and how it might change with future technologies (like VR)
@Lauren02484342 I love the custom soccer ball! Definitely a creative way to share SDGs that may actually inspire curiousity in students. Would love to see them come out in other ways.
@Lauren02484342 I suggested #Findapartnerschool as a potential resource. You could definitely use Zoom for the same purpose of connecting with schools overseas!
This is so true!
It's so important that we understand our neighbours. As part of my unit on global citizenship, my students will investigate Indonesia, particularly it's political landscape and institutions.
Do you have a particular country of interest?
@Charlot30046473 Hierarchy of needs is easily understood, remembered, and able to be recalled for use in professional conversations or private reflections. Definitely a worthwhile tool for any teacher toolbelt βΊοΈ
@NicholShari Would love to see this taken up by small businesses, many of whom only have garbage and paper/cardboard bins
Perhaps an avenue to expand the initiative to the community?
One Hen by Katie Smith Milway is an incredible story that demonstrates how even a small bit of help can make a huge difference economically and socially.
A great way to teach students about Global Responsibility and Citizenship.

@Charlot30046473 Definitely needs to be an issue addressed with collaboration from parents, who are usually home when their children experiences cyber bullying. In many cases, unless a parent speaks out it is almost impossible on some cases for schools to become aware.
@Lauren02484342 Inequality continues to be a persistent problem throughout history, but I'm hopeful we'll make progress. Partly through education but through other means like this also.
@Lauren02484342 Such a critical area of need to properly support refugees. They deserve the best chance to become contributing and successful citizens.
