Okay so... We're switching things up fully. My cofounder @RamePz of my previous failed startup on multiplayer infrastructure for games are going o pivot towards Devops as a service for games now as the only customers we were able to get with our previous venture was for devops instead of servers for multiplayer.
Are we still going to #buildinpublic ? Tricky question since a lot of game devs prefer their privacy and NDA's. But for now, it looks like Cashcowtomate, Satislide and PlanZen are paused for now to focus on this.
We'll see what the future holds. I'm looking into a good way to combine posting here with this new venture. Hope to connect more with #gamedev folkes because of this.
Initially, I was planning on going indiehacker style and launching as much as possible, I was planning on 4. But recently I've started to pivot into going back to startup mode and will focus on 1 more scalable project rather than many smaller ones.
I feel this way I can get the most out of my ideas and time as I'm still working a 9-5 and want to prioritize quality over quantity.
WOW! @tryamie has an insane domain reputation. Sure they have a great product and people are linking to the product because of it.
But not all is what it seems!
The top contributor to their domain ranking? Their beautiful landing page! Lots of backlinks mostly for their design!

Definitely still here and active π just figuring some important things out right now. Got an offer that changes everything. Currently debating it and will change paths accordingly. I'll still remain #buildinpublic, but it will be a not-so mirco SaaS either way. This will be a big project, although I'm very excited.
I just have to make a decision on which project, I'll do the project with a co-founder. This will either be my current business partner and best friend, but on a more riskier project.
Or my previous (toxic) employer who approached me to join him on a pre-validated startup as cofounder.
The safest bet will be the latter. But the one that will probably make me happier is the first, based on the project itself as the person I know I love working with.
Difficult, emotional, life changing. Am i missing anything?

@danielcranney I like comparing it to making chain reactions :) And debugging is like holding your finger between the dominos to make sure everything is aligned properly XD
I apply for openings on Indeed and get approached by recruiters via LinkedIn a lot. I haven't really had issues yet. But I also don't focus on big companies, I prefer smaller startupish companies because I feel like I have the most growth potential there. Those always look for skilled programmers.
I always wonder why all these programmers focus so hard on coding challenges like Leetcode and such. Do companies really look at them so hard? I haven't done a single one ever and I have never struggled getting good jobs as a software engineer. Last time I had 8 offers I could choose from like I'm some wanted soccer player. I purely do it with my portfolio and jargon during interviews every time.
@marclou The lack of sleep / dont think past 6pm go hand in hand for me. After 6pm / when I'm tired, I become so fragile, smallest setbacks can make me rethink my entire life, I'll wake up fresh in the morning and be confused why I made such a big deal and I should just push through
