That's over ₹91,000 deducted in taxes in a single month.

He then took to social media and sarcastically wrote

"I am grateful that my hard earned money is probably being used for world class roads,

excellent public schools,
top quality healthcare, corruption free governance, and a perfectly efficient system."

His post quickly sparked a heated debate online.

Some people said,

"Paying taxes is every citizen's responsibility. That's how a country functions."

Others argued,

"The problem is not paying taxes.

The real issue is whether taxpayers receive quality public services, transparency, and accountability in return."

Now the bigger question is

Is India's middle class paying too much in taxes, or getting too little in return ?

It’s absolutely baffling and disgusting that after hours and hours of grind at work and commuting for it, there is no respite for those returning homes on #GhodbunderRoad.

The @ThaneCityPolice and @MahaPolice ensure 24x7 choked traffic due to constant flow of heavy vehicles despite knowing the road cannot handle the volume due to its condition, shape and size.

While they fail to implement heavy vehicles movement hours every single day, they all conveniently say it’s due to construction work and put the entire blame on @MMRDAOfficial, which again is true.
