@DPJHodges Yes, they must have coordinated! The notion that all decent fair-minded people would see this case and respond in a similar righteously enraged manner is apparently something you cannot comprehend. Perhaps because you are NOT a decent fair-minded person yourself...
@jonsopel Thank you Jon! How dare this troglodyte point out our failures to us?! We have courageous journalists like you for that. I'm sure you'll get on the case soon...
The notion that the UK is divided and enraged because of Elon Musk's views and not because of major issues in the country Lammy and the government he's part of is supposedly managing is hilariously bad. I'd expect any journalist worth their salt to point this out, not buy into it unquestioningly. Stellar stuff, Sky News, stellar stuff...
Whilst the thugs & criminals attacked the police this week, this is the reality of policing. My nephew a serving @metpoliceuk officer was passenger, both he and driver thankfully escaped with minor injuries. He loves the job! Told me the Sgt’s, Insp’s were brilliant. Thank you 🙏🏾
I'd repeat what I said above. "Without fear or favour" is something I'd like to still be applied. And if an officer or a specific force get it wrong, even if they're not criminally liable, they should still have the stones to say, we really go this one wrong, morally if not legally.
@MAMentoring It's thoroughly deserved. Sad, yes. Ideally we'd have a decent police force and judicial system. We don't, and we're starting to become aware of it.
@BernardMcEldown@WasAcop@X Yes, because EVERY arrest is perfectly valid and the plod never get it wrong or should ever be questioned. All hail our overlords the police!
I suspect the plod wanted to clear out everyone behind their line, he didn't instantly comply so they made it a scuffle, didn't care to hear he has pins in his leg and is slow moving. They bashed him up a bit, so even if he puts up a hand to defend himself they'll say "resisting & assaulting an officer" and then piled on. Typical provocateur behaviour. I'm glad he's asked for Crown court trial. I hope he has the funds and the lawyer to stick it to them.
@cathynewman@ZiaYusufUK@Nigel_Farage Cathy, you got caught out and made to look bad at your own game. Any account with a large enough following will get a bunch of trolls after it, but to conflate all criticism with the vile imbecilles who do this is utterly disingenuous.
If you do honestly believe that, and many of your colleagues currently serving or retired like yourself think the same, you can see why people might hate your guts and theirs?
Ignoring an obviously wounded/dying man's pleas for help, manhandling him and then hiding behind the murderer's lies to shield your lack of humanity and incompetence means you deserve all the hate you get. Those aren't the actions of people looking to protect and serve, but of cowardly bullies who don't give a toss and only care about themselves.
@NormanBrennan I'm sorry Norman, are you honestly saying your opinion is that the coppers on scene did nothing wrong? Really? That they mishandled it, but basically they're perfectly competent officers and should continue to do their job?
