@GaryMarcus At this point, with the economics being what they are (what they always where) OpenAI and Anthropic are just two chefs trapped in a kitchen on the Titanic arguing who makes the best Creme Brulé
@mikulaja I think your scepticism is well founded. Every bankruptcy specialist I have spoken to suggests that the GENIUS act does NOT provide the protection it's authors think it does...any stablecoin holders after a bankruptcy can expect to take a loss on their holdings and have to wait
@C4nn0n_F0dd3r@Knightly_Hist I don't think it's appreciated both how well the French conducted themselves under battlefield conditions or how close they came to winning it.
@Knightly_Hist Fair enough just think Crecy is equally mistold by many Historians (without the benefit of a Shakespeare play)..the French reformed and charged three times (a impressive display of horsemanship) not because they were fools but because the tactic generally worked.
@edzitron@davidzmorris Don't take this the wrong way Mr Zitron but when this crap show finally blows up I will be fascinated to read all the excuses my fellow analyst come up with for Why a PR guy was apparently the only person who could read a balance sheet....
@Samfr@ObserverUK Your missing the obvious issue with the current crop of LLM based AI...they don't make any profit so will not be economicly viable.
That being so the only job losses are coming from firms desperately trying to recoup all that Cap Ex spend.
@Bigvadrouiller1 Archers could not stand a cavalry charge, even English commanders at the time knew that hence all the focus on fixed defences whenever possible.
@Cryptadamist@TVietor08 But what if, and hear me out, what if he got drunk first?
(Alcoholism is a terrible disease and it's sufferers deserve sympathy...they don't deserve to run the DOD!!!)
