Due to the National Weather Service issuing a High Fire Warning, Doniphan County has issued a Burn Ban. No open burning will be permitted until the Burn Ban has been lifted.
The Doniphan County mask mandate has been lifted. It is recommended cities, schools, businesses and other organizations set their own policies, as well as, encourage proper hygiene and social distancing.
The Board of County Commissioners have voted to extend the courthouse being closed to the public until Monday, April 20, 2020 at 11:59 am. Please contact the County Clerk at 785-985-3513 or [email protected] for more information.
Transfer Station Changes: Due to COVID 19, they will no longer be able to loan out hard hats and vests. You may bring your own or purchase them from the Transfer Station. Hard hats are $8.00 and vests are $3.50.
Severe storms are expected later this afternoon (3 pm or 4 pm). These storms have the potential for large hail, strong winds and a tornado can't be ruled out. Make sure you have a severe weather plan and listen for any watches or warnings from the NWS.
