University applications to nursing are down 17% this year. One in three nurses leave degree programmes early. In 2022 there was a 25% increase in nurses leaving … 7,000 compared to 2021 two thirds were under 45yrs… (Roy Lilley, 8th Aug 2023). Catastrophe coming!

Today we remember the one and only Dr Kate Granger MBE who died on this day in 2016.
Kate was an inspiration to thousands across the NHS and her legacy lives on in so much of what we do.

My parents had to fight to take him out of school for an assessment and then he had weekly sessions with a specialist teacher (paid for by parents) who taught him different ways of learning. Sad it’s still happening today!
