Community building is probably what many indie studios will struggle with if they pivot to Web3.

@brycent To be fair, it is 2 different business model, paying for an experience at the escape room doesn't entitle you to any physical item inside the experience. Traditional games are selling you an experience, web3 games are looking to sell you digital assets.

There are many passionate game developers who wants nothing but to make fun and engaging games, why are crypto projects who wants a gaming element in their project not looking to hire proper game devs to do it properly? Staking for stuff is not a game.

@brycent Like all games, the main point is to deliver an experience. If players had fun going down to 0 or built friendships along the way, is that OK? That's what games do, regardless if it's traditional or Web3. Also, the $ was spent on giving devs jobs for the duration of the project.

@Hantao My money is on gaming or gamification - all Web3 projects in 2024 will have some form of 'game play' as the bare minimum. Regardless if its pfp, defi, socialfi or any-fi.
