@cbrookesheating Absolutely ๐
Just been to price a new build this morning the last bloke said he needs 2x 14kw ashp and a gas boiler back up
I'm looking at a one 10 kw ashp๐
@theheatinghub@TheConsumerCode Stop people with no relevant experience coming into the trade heat pumps are a lot more technical to install than double glazing!!!!!
@theheatinghub I can explain this very easily it took me 10 months to become mcs registered then another 3 months to get through recc and ofgem i already had all the relevant experience in renewables mcs,recc and ofgem are falling are industry and need to be held accountable
@theheatinghub@WhichUK Mandatory accreditation only makes more money for the training providers to roll out more not fit for purpose courses were installers have a certs saying there competent but know nothing about heating design
What we need is mandatory kimbo and heat geek courses
@plumbers_urban Two reasons
He have the biggest gas boiler market in Europe with a lot of the manufacturer's not interested in developing renewable sales
And customer confidence/education just read the papers it's all about badly installed heat pumps which also puts off gas engineer's
@theheatinghub Why not give some money to installation companies to train young people . I currently have a apprentice I'm training for nothing when universities get 9.5k per year๐ง
@AllenHart999@OctopusEnergy I was only looking for yes or no
If you are in the renewables market trying to do the very best job this doesn't help the big boys will only bring the prices down
@theheatinghub There probably only heat pump engineers a new trade that's been invented in the last couple of years ( just plumbers with a massive ego)
