@pivotlegal Ah yes, just yesterday I was marched to the voting booth by a uniformed police officer directing me what candidate to vote for. Said no Canadian.. this isn't Russian controlled Ukraine. But you're ok with CUPE endorsing people aren't you? Either all unions can or they can't!
@surreyps I appreciate the response, my concern is that if smaller agencies then yourself can find qualified candidates, why do you not have the confidence in your own staff to fulfill these roles? Shouldn't early adopters be rewarded or is there a bigger problem?
@courage_red @87CR604 I think the RCMP is far from perfect, if it truly was the worst, in this current shortage of police officers Nation wide, why hasn't there been a mass exodus to every other agency? Maybe people are institutionalized?
@courage_red@PurpleRED_Blue@bringback1040 @JaysonWest15 That's always been the problem with the city, they have always tried to do it on the cheap. They understaffed the RCMP for years, regardless of current hiring issues, and I'm worried they will do the same to SPS.
@courage_red No disagreement about Surrey minimum levels, however, Vancouver spends almost double per person then what Surrey does for policing. That would theoretically bring those numbers way closer.
@courage_red Based on information available on the internets, RCMP Union dues are middle of the road averaging 1.6%, and the highest in policing is 2.25%. unless that had recently changed?
@courage_red What's the appropriate time? The two are no way related, you are the one conflating the issue. Respect Heidi, and don't use her name for your own issues towards the Surrey RCMP
@bryangagne007@MercedesGlobal aa. Brigadier General T. Horton appointed Director General of caffeination supplies excluding tea based products.
BB. Brigade General Lipton appointed director general tea based products.....
With the current staffing levels, the only people left is the general staff.
@courage_red Optically bad, but for someone who preaches respect the officers on the ground doing their job, this is a bit hypocritical. It'll be before a judge soon enough, and the investigation will get it's due process.
@courage_red@RJordan1936@Burthier_ @blueoil23 @SurreyRCMP The flip side is that when a city goes with the RCMP they have to maintain a certain standard, don't think some municipalities would react and respond to their policing standard with an even more subpar showing then the RCMP. That's what happens when you accept franchise policing
