"only those who pass can become a registered pharmacist and take on the significant responsibilities for people’s health that this role involves" quote from @TheGPhC provisionally registered preregs have not passed the exam how can they take responsibilities while resitters cant
@TheGPhC Make it make sense that we may have worked 6 months in this field by then, yet you will base us on our ability to regurgitate the BNF? Would we all of a sudden not be competent? You must take into consideration other assessment avenues. This is now ridiculous. @the_pda#provreg
Reasons why I didn’t enroll for the RPS revision/ mock course : 1) It originally only mentioned prov pharmacists 2) £195. That doesn’t seem like a lot but it is when you’ve not been working for months. Just feel like resitters are being disadvantaged😕 #thegphc#resitters#prereg
8am Monday. Received 12 rejections from pharmacy jobs. I’ll ask for feedback like I usually do. It’ll be the same issue- my MPharm & pre reg means I’m overqualified, but we are always looking for pharmacists. Apply for those roles 😔 #prereg#thegphc#resitters@TheGPhC@the_pda
Feeling no support from @TheGPhC as a resitters. We deserve to have a date for the assessment and being part of any decisions. #Resitters doesn’t mean we are incompetent. I am so anxious, stressed because of the unknown especially it is my last attempt. @pda@BPSA@PharmacyNewsUK
This is so right, we are supporting one of ours who failed first time Sept 19 and has been working with us since in a vacancy continuously employed as a pre-reg and has been offered a qualified post but currently unable to be a provreg and no inkling of when this will occur
The more I think about it, the more I feel registering the #provreg fundamentally changed the picture. Trying to retrofit the exam to them now causes many more new issues that should be considered carefully and not rushed in to
#provreg failing exam different to prereg failing
@TheGPhC#pre_reg#resitters@thegphc@the_pda help pre reg resitters...we have been treated unfairly. No point of making an exam anymore since the provisional pharmacists give out medicines to the public without supervision...IT MAKES NO SENSE
There is significant concern for the mental wellbeing of preg resitters who are unable to work as provisionally qualified pharmacists but expected to study for an exam with an unknown date in the middle of pandemic @TheGPhC@the_pda@PJOnline_News@ChemistDruggist@BPSA@rpharms
Reason why I failed my ec? Because not good enough to be a pharmacist? Not smart? I believe I’m going to be an amazing pharmacist. Resitters will be the best pharmacists as we have suffered so much. We have the fire & passion. #thegphc#resitters#prereg
What’s happening? - that’s what twitter asks before you post. What’s happening is exactly what the resitters are asking. And tbh the prov pharmacists too. @TheGPhC can you share? #thegphc#resitters#prereg
https://t.co/038JQDzcMZ - imagine failing the exam, waiting months to resit, exam postponed, no prov reg, no idea what’s going on, yet still fighting and hoping for something . #thegphc#resitters#prereg
@TheGPhC#resitters i am qualified pharmacist in my country I believe that I am competent but I failed the #prereg here not because I don’t know but because I do panic in exams. I feel I have the right to be treated like others @BPSA@the_pda
@TheGPhC Give the resitters some clarity regarding the exam. They have been dealing with an immense amount of stress over the past year and been completely forgotten about. Resitters should be treated the same as the current cohort. Enough is enough @bpsa#befair#gphc
Many resitters have money worries due to postponed exam/unable to be prov pharmacist . Unable to pay exam fees, definitely can’t afford the mock courses. Prov pharmacist get a full salary, and access to resources as well as on the job learning. #thegphc#resitters#preeg
